Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

Zobrazit statistiky:
Stealth seems... trash
Having to restart game as i had tried to go a full stealth rogue, the problem is as yes I had +36 to stealth, almost everything I was trying to sneak around seems to have a +56 through +80 to perception. literally making it impossible for them to fail seeing a full stealth built character. This is on normal mode btw, the inflated stats that enemies get kind of kills the game.

I would hate to use stealth on Core+ then wow
Stealth is possible, but you really need a certain build and mythic path for it to be viable.

Said build is Trickster, since trickster can turn itself invisible when stealthing, making it FAR easier to sneak. you can also find gear that gives you a ton varied bonuses to stealth checks, which is practically mandatory.

I can't remember where I found it, but one of those items is a robe called Perilous Shadows, which allows your character to recieve a 1 minute Greater Invisibility whenever they kill a target. There are more but I can't remember their names off the top of my hat and I don't have access to the game right now.

yeah I quickly found out in Kingmaker that stealth was only for openings, for ranged units, not to sneak around the enemies.

Problem is I have max dex small character, with it as a +1 from background, skill focus stealth, stealthy trait, max ranks stealth, +4 dex item, luck bonus stealth, item bonus stealth, food bonus stealth..... and the majority of the enemies see me on a nat 1. I know im missing something else I had added in there for stealth as well but basically, you name it i have it, and yes its a class skill (rogue)
I haven't really noticed this issue, then again my stealth character (a knife fighter) is still on act 2 so I probably haven't run into the endgame insanity yet.

Yes its trash.
Knife fighter was actually the rogue i went with. I kept trying to send him up to scout and that never worked out well.
weird, im not having too many issues stealthing with him, then again I am also continously using scrolls and wands of invis to help with the stealthing
I do fairly well with 80ish stealth on hard. its nice to be able to get a full attack off with sneak attacks off on an unsuspecting enemy.

Cant always make it work mind you, but a free kill when it works.

Stealth is for avoiding ambushes on the world map.

sounds like you are using scrolls, while i dont mind using them, I dont think i should be forced to for every single fight.

yes i use scrolls, but most of it is from the invisibility/vanish buff (+20), but also 40 ish dex helps.

Just buy tons of vanish potions and use them before you try and sneak. they are dirt cheap.

In kingmaker you don't have to use scrolls all the time, this campaign is more "epic" tho, enemies are demons. You need to take every advantage you an get to get a one up on those guys.

not so much that they are demons, its the fact they are massively overtuned, damn near nothing should have +60 or higher to perception in pathfinder except gods. Even stuff like a Balor or the blood queen are still under +40 and thats about as powerful of a demon you can get

Dont a lot of the higher tier demons get blindsense (or blindsight) ?
I think you're misunderstanding how stealth actually works in Pathfinder, or at least how it's interpreted in this game...

Stealth is your ability to go unnoticed but unless you're invisible the enemies get a massive boost to perceive you when you approach them. Basically it allows you to go un-heard as you walk around but it's pretty hard not to notice someone walking right up to you.

D&D had stealth separated into sneak and hide skills respectively.
Sneak was your ability to go unheard
Hide was your ability to go unseen but you still needed somewhere to hide (or needed to be invisible)

So in a nutshell if you want to use a stealth build you need to either invest in potions/scrolls of invisibility or bring a caster along to cast invisibility on you.
