Am I locked into a mythic path right away or can i pick/choose later?

I only played the beta for like an hour or two waaay back, and i remember Angel came up. I picked it just cause i wasnt planning on playing beta for long. I didnt even know what the other options were without looking it up. If I do the Angel stuff at the beginning am i locked into that? Will I not gain any mythic levels until I find another path i pick later? Any help appreciated

I believe you can respec and choose whatever ones you unlocked if you go with that side from the looks of it

As far as I can tell you are not locked in until mythic rank 8, or something like that.

I'm not there yet myself, only a few hours of play time a day at best, but that's how it seems to be from the posts I've been reading.

Thanks yall, i did cave in and look up on another source, apparently you can start those things but like yall said arent locked in til later. I just wanted to make sure before i turn down "Angel" path like an idiot just cause i wanted to focus on Azata later

You have a soft lock at rank 3, and by soft I mean you can change it at rank 8, but only to a VERY few select others, you can also change it again at rank 9, but only to Devil. How the Rank 8 choice works is that it lets you pick between your current Mythic, Legend, and the Advanced Mythics if you have them unlocked (Gold Dragon, Swarm that Walks). Then, if you are on either the Aeon or Azata path you have the posibility to go Devil at rank 9 if you play nice with a character youve met before along those paths..

this, ironically, was MORE confusing since i played the tabletop WOTR campaign with the mythic paths from the book, which were more general like "Archmage" and whatnot and we were locked when we picked one, im about to start it up so maybe the 1.0 tutorial will clarify more than the beta cause i thought if i picked the angel thing i'd be locked into that lol

ok to put it into a less confusing mess:
Forced picks: Mythic Hero X2, unavodiable, no choice.
Rank 1 unclockables, selectable at the end of Act 2; Angel, Demon, Lich, Azata, Aeon and Trickster
Rank 8 Pickables: Selected path from act 2 and legend.
Selectable at the same time as the other Rank 8 Pickables, if you finished their questlines properly: Gold Dragon and Swarm that Walks.
Rank 9 pickable, only on Aeon and Azata path by finishing a certain quest line: Devil.
