As a general rule, spellcasters don't need to cast spells every battle. Use cantrips or crossbows, and save your spells for the hard encounters, which really only happen a few times per day.
Once you get into that rhythm, you'll not need to rely on resting too much, and the corruption won't be an issue for you.
You can turn the crusade on auto, that break some sidequest unfortunatly (meaning they will either never progress, or very slowly and i think the Swarm-that-walk mythical path require you to play throu the crusade minigame and stuff to unlock it as you have to order your advisors to do thing with the swarm path and they will not do it other wise) but corruption is part of the main gameplay, you have to find a balance between resting and casting spells, and you can usually reste 3-4 time with a good roll on your protection spell camp thing without worring about the first lvl of corruption, which is basicaly a fatigue debuff on stats so it's managable at this point lvl 2 make some fight way more hard than they actually his. Lvl 3 i think is death of your party.
To be fairly honest i almost never had to worry about corruption except during the Drezen siege i taked the "let's backdoor them" with the hellknight apparently the frontal assault is less forgiving, with less option to rest and recover from corruption.
Having one core character specialise in Lore Religion also helps a lot.
On the big maps where you need to sleep multiple time there are usually holy sites that can remove accumulated corruption and let you rest an additional time.
Like in the siege of Drezen there are at least 3 i can think of on top of my head.
And i still gained a buttload of Corruption.
So.. building might not be working. However, with the telport circles, its not hard to get anywhere you need to be without corruption being remotely an issue.
There's also a food dish you can make that makes it take several hours longer to get tired and then exhausted, so you can go further, and on top of that, remember that you can push through fatigued if you have Seelah because one of her LoH buffs is removing fatigued, so you can wipe it off the moment you enter a map.
