Divine weapon bond or horse?
Divine weapon bond
Good:
+1 additional damage each 3 levels after 5 up to +6 at 20
weapon properties
+1 use each 4 levels after 5th level up to 4 at 17

Bad:
limited use

Horse
Good:
+1 to your AC
+1 on attack rolls against medium or smaller
bites
additional slots for wearing stuff + barding
+to weight limit
fast
additional person for skill checks

Bad:
Paladin heavy armor is bad for mobility and therefore horse will get hit more often
Low initial AC

Horse will probably annoy the socks out of you later on as animal companions stick around inside safe areas and have to be next to you when you leave safe areas, except game doesn't auto select them, so usually they are across the map when you leave.

The horse is definitely better in the long run for general action economy reasons. There's a reason the meme build for these games is to give everyone in the party a mount or animal companion, after all.

Horse is extremely powerful, both as mount, separate combat unit and cargo carrier.

I prefer divine weapon bond

To increase her mobility without multiclassing her
- Paladin level 2 spell Effortless armor
- Haste
- A alchemist expeditious retreat

But mounted combat has the potential to look very cool...

Divide weapon bond by far . Subject to change if mounted combat improves

Generally speaking all class abilities that mimic magic items are inferior choices.

i got my horse and was like yaaaayy and then i had it was like... As Roadie mentioned, same goes for me I am not amused about the implementation of the horse, that said i didnt yet try mounted combat etc. maybe its actually super awesome i just need to get used to it.

Warhorse for me. It is classic Paladin from AD&D even at level 5..Paladins are Holy Knights. Less of a mechanic issue more fits the fantasy better, though mechanically..it does give your heavily armored Paladin excellent mobility.

But heavy armor paladin on horse looks like suboptimal choice, considering Mounted Combat uses Mobility skill check for hit negating and mobility is strongly affected by heavy armor.

Horse is obviously better but companions can be annoying and mounted combat is pretty buggy.

If you want to be useful, pick sword. If you want to glitch into corners and lose your turns, not be able to pick anything up from horseback and always have to re-mount every area change or trip, go for horse!

Given the nature of a game like Wrath of the Rightous, I expect to find one or more rather stellar holy/paladin swords. The horse, on the other hand, has no equivilent. I took the horse.

If this was kingmaker, I would not have been so expectant to find a high end paladin weapon. But this campeign is practically MADE for paladins.

The horse is likely gonna exceed the paladin's AC pretty easily. Make it a bulwark and it will likely be the tankiest companion in the party.

Mobility should actually not be affected by heavy armor in mounted combat as per Pathfinder rules but it's not implemented for some reason.

Definitely Divine Weapon Bond. The enhancements are just too good and you can customize them a bit based on what your weapon already has or for what you're fighting against.

just dont take that feat, the horse has decent AC still, especially with barding
