Gwerm's Mansion magically locked door?

There is a locked door on the second floor of Gwerm's Mansion. Not the one Gwerm opens himself but the one adjacent to the stairs. Does anyone know how to open it?

No, it was not possible to open it in the beta either.

Speculation is that it will happen in chapter 5 or 6 that were not included in the beta. Its most likely related to the companion quest.

Has anyone gotten that far yet? Do we actually come back and open this door later?

yes I'd like to know, too! :)

i tried everything, even True Seeing scrolls
casting fire spells or equipping a torch in case lighting the unlit candelabras might do it, etc

Yes. You'll return there later in the last arc for Camellia's last quest.
