Vrock help

I completed the summon in the ritual room in the square market.
Now Im trying to beat the Vrock boss.

Cant seem to find a trick to it. Any tips?

it's not a boss, just a regular enemy. . that is way above your level at the time you meet it, meant to be a challenge, what tabletop would call a "deadly encounter".
later in the game, when you get all your buff spells and levelup, you'll be cleaving through hordes of these things.

Ember's sleep hex trivializes this fight. Knock it unconscious and then coup de grace it.

It is a monster in market square. At level 3-5 it is considered something of a mini boss.

Beatable at Level 4 but easier at Level 5. The name of the game is stacking buffs/debuffs. Use Seelah's smite. Woljiff thief's debuffs. Camellia/Ember Evil Eye to both use lower its AC and Attack (Keep this topped up if necessary). Ember may also be able to sleep hex it and then Coup de Grace. Camellia can can cast Enlarge/Reduce Person. Also enchant her weapon.. Enlarge for strength builds and reduce for Dex. Daeren Bless Aid & Protection From Evil.

This is leaving aside mercs and MC builds. Stack as much as you can on those modifiers and it's not that bad.

IIRC you get less xp by summoning it and killing it than destroying the circle. That's something to consider for the future. Especially since he doesn't drop anything (I think).

I don't think that's right. Also, if you visit the spot it appears and see the crusaders, then go back and summon it, it will kill those crusaders allowing you to loot the best shield you can get for quite a while.

I was never able to trigger the event that causes those guys to get unsubscribed from life and drop that shield. I just ended up moving on without it.
