GOG save files to Steam
Can you transfer save game from gog pathfinder to steam version?

just saw this- my thoughts exactly. went to GoG for their offline installer option (not Galaxy)- and now they're two patches behind (PC showing 1.0.3c as i write this). i'm refunding and buying the game here. i'm fairly certain the savegames will work, but i'm guessing that i'll lose the preorder bonus items. hopefully the missing items with the new post-release steam install won't render my GoG savegames useless. once i do this i'll post an update here.

I just checked GOG refund period after I read mookymook's post above.
GOG refund period 30 days
The updated policy lets you refund a product up to 30 days after purchase, even if it was downloaded, launched, and played. Yes, you read that correctly. :)

compare that to Steam:
Steam Support :: How To Request A Refund. Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours.
