No Ember in Market Square (and I swear to g...)
I dont see ember anywhere in the market square, plus I just read that if you dont do the WHOLE of act 1 in three days you get the worst outcome? What the hell? If Ember is dead and this is true then thumbs down for this game 100%. Owlcat truly did not learn anything form the fun killing forced BS from Kingmaker.

That being said, where is Ember?

might i ask where you read that?

I definitely didn't talk to Ember within the first three days.

She's on the same side you enter from, not across the bridge. It's basically one big square, so you should be able to spot her eventually (getting assaulted by crusaders).

trying to google "where to find ember" saw a list of possible events if you take too long in act 1. daeran dying, ember dying, tavern event fail (meaning alot at the in die, resulting in merchants not wanting to talk to you and the allies you recruited fleeing), woljif fleeing.
it was a steam thread and post with comments. so either a year ago thread or a superb troll thread that I fell for.

I found Ember on the bottom left of the Market Square after first entry she is the child being picked on by the knights. As for the time thing, i do not know where you heard that, i do not think its true for the ring of sustenance, would be needed for such a rush and it does not exist in game.

Seeing that my first rest took one and a half days I do not belive that you have to do act one in three days, there aree to many time waste mechanics for that.

None of that has happened in my game. I spent well over a week before meeting Daeran, and didn't have any issues with the tavern either.

If you can't hack the time-limits, just turn down the difficulty. It's what it's there for.

The time limits and the possibility to mess up lends the game a slight air of urgency, which is very fitting. The limits are however quite liberal, and were even more so in Kingmaker. I don't even know how it's possible to mess up the time-constraints in that title.

It's ok that the game is not for you if the possibility of a bad outcome ruins the experience. Obviously a lot of us are really glad that element is there, even tho it's no challenge at all.

That's what I did, I have it on easiest possible settings. I don't care for a challenge, my goal to stay out of a freakin wheelchair is enough challenge for me, I just want a stress free game play.

Yeah, whoever told you taking too long would cause a bad ending was wrong. Maybe that was in beta but I took my sweet time with Act 1 and nothing bad happened. The only time urgent thing would be the defense of Defenders Heart and that's about it. As for Ember, just keep looking around the Market Square. She's near a building you can enter on the side you first enter from, no making and crossing a bridge. Most timelimits are "finish before the end of this act or you fail" which isn't much of a limit.
