from what I've seen you can use her as a source of information at some point in act 3, but up to act 4 i saw no other use for her.

Not really. Just the capture and kill. Capture allows you to use her for a couple of things, nothing lich related that I could see, and killing just.... well, kills her. nothing of consequence that i saw. Unsure about setting her free
