Can someone explain Subschools? Charm/Compulsion/etc.?
Google has failed me. The best sources I've seen are from ten years ago, and a tweet from Owlcat that leads to a dead page on a wiki. There's also some posts from Kingmaker but they're from years ago and that information could have changed and I'm just unaware of that.

So the Infernal Bloodline says it gives a bonus to the Charm subclass school and has Enchantment spells listed there but I didn't see anything indicating that these were Charm spells? Fey bloodline also has some enchantment spells, how it indicates that affects Compulsion spells and there is an actual label for Compulsion.

So the question is, are Charm and Compulsion the same or does Infernal Bloodline just do nothing? This is just the one example I'm obsessing over but there could be others this pertains too.

If you look at certain spells, they have listed their schools as such: Enchantment (charm) [mind-affecting] etc. Charm and Compulsion are different subschools of Enchantment spells and if you look at the spell description of such spells, it will tell you which subschool they belong to. Functionally, this is very similar to descriptors like Cold or Fire

Yeah I'm aware of what you explained. So that means the Infernal Bloodline just does nothing then for Sorc spells it gives then? I don't see any spells at all that have Charm listed.

Nevermind! There is an Encyclopedia in the game that explains this, it just doesn't appear accessible during character creation or on the main menu.
