Wardstone options (spoilers).
So trying to figure out what happens exactly with the Wardstone.
And how it would affect the game as a whole (if it actually does anything).

I have several options.

I can destroy it, which seems really bad.
I can quell the anger of the red angels, which is a Good option.
I can cleanse it, which would destroy the fallen angels (Lawful).
I can return all angels to their rightful place, which is Lawful and the Aeon option.
Or I can be evil and unleash demon fury.

Naturally the last just seems really bad.

If I don't take the Aeon choice, do I lose out on that path for good?
As for the two angel options (the good and lawful), do they have any real difference or is it simply an alignment thing?

Basically trying to figure out what the actual game effects of each might be, if any. Losing the Wardstone seems really bad, as that's what's holding back the demons. So wouldn't that just let more pour into the world?

Either one you pick you can still pick Angel or Devil, if you don't pick Aeon you are locked out. There are alot more paths but they are locked such as lich, etc.

Okay, so I'd lose Aeon if not taking that path. But what outcomes do the others have on the game? Does losing the Wardstone actually affect the game as a whole?

Not sure dude. I chose the goodie two shoes my first playthrough and I'm only about 5 hours past that mark. So that's all I know, I didint choose Aeon, I chose to cleanse the angels. And I still got to choose Angel or Devil as neutral good

Bump. Curious about the ACTUAL fake-world repercussions of this decision and not just character alignment/path repercussions.

As far as I know, there won't be any repercussions, especially after what Targona and the Inheritor tell you before act 4.

I went with the Aeon choice as picking a side in the angel feud seemed like it could end badly too. Nobody even seems fussed that you destroy the wardstone. Still get treated like a hero.

Yeah, I was trying the different options to see the immediate outcome... but I am more curious as to what effect, if any, it has on the larger game later on.
