Report a translation problem
So what's the answer because I am pretty sure i have gone through what you have and I am still not getting anything
But! I solved this one. It's a little confusing at first, but the room tells you how to solve it. Look at the symbols on the top left and the other symbols on the left side. Those tell you what should be in the corresponding slots in the actual puzzle.
Basically, you see that weird Z looking symbol with the frills on either side? That's the symbol that should be on the middle-right side of the puzzle. The symbol before that should be on the middle-left side of the puzzle. Match those symbols and the rest of the pieces fill themselves in.

Selecting the wrong side will show you a blank in your inventory.

(note the direction of the center tile to determine camera position)
I have no idea why this solution works, but other placements do not, but... Maybe this is the only position where the inner tiles don't match either of the outer tiles?
