Anyway you may need some scrolls if you level 3. Web, fireball, and prot from
Fire communal.
Embers sleep hex is your best friend and lann is the alchimst slayer put him on the wall.
It’ll be hard level 3 your meant to have gotten equipment from the surrounding areas.
But dam am I over it... They just don't stop coming! The first few rounds were fun but it's insane for how long this has gone on for.
And the worst part is you can't even save mid battle!!! What kind of nonsense is that!
Er, anyway, i think doing something like what EvilDonut suggested would be helpful.
I think the Minotaru hit my party maybe once while it was alive.
Edit: Just finished the siege and it took me 27 rounds.
I don't agree that it's inappropriate for a party of 3-5. You're given a pile of NPCs that you can keep alive fairly easily if you don't just let them hold the line (they won't) alone.
Also remember you can recruit, hulrun and Ramin in the market square. The knights of the flame in black wing library and some other soldiers in the square
Then when the minotaur comes i toss a grease at the stairs (he slips sometimes if rarely, at least in that fight) and have two ranged make a beeline for the roofs on the opposite side to take down the two arsonists the bull brought with him. After that I bring down the bull which has been busy being tanked by Seelah, and the other random adds.
I could probably have used more scrolls but im bit of a hoarder so its what it is.
The minotaur himself I had no real issues with. Admittedsly, I stuck him in a pit while I finished off most of his support.
I agree.
The developers seem constantly unaware of what the CR for a challenging encounter should be, especially at the lower levels. I scaled enemy damage down to minimum and it was still close. There's only so many healing spells I can cast at level 3 and the defenders are barely doing any work. Meanwhile, assault after assault keeps pouring in.
