Are there any spiders in this game?

I realy love this game but I have spider-phobia. Are there big spiders in this game? Any ways to walkaround them? Thanks in advance.

edit: maybe try and imagine them as fluffy kittens with a few extra legs and eyes

They're not the most realistic or animated visually, if that helps. The giant ones tend to crop up very often in the starter map as random encounters also, so maybe wait for mods

The game will probably have bebiliths , but the way I see it is that if you're not afraid of demons you ought not be afraid of spiders! Golarion faces far greater perils than mere arachnids! And besides, courage is not always the absence of fear, but can be bravery in spite of it. You'll need it for what comes.

Yes use Toybox, there is a setting called Ikky Things BEGONE! It replaces all the creepy crawly insects and arachnids in the game with other enemy types. Its a 10 out of 10 mod as it has a lot of features but this mod is the best friend of arachnophobes wanting to play this game.

Let's just say it won't take you long to find out...

For the first act of the game, giant spiders, flies, and centipedes are common enemy types you'll see frequently. The become less common once you're out of the starter city, but given one of the big-bads is a giant bug himself you'll still see such creepy crawlies from time to time.

At the very least, the spiders are relatively cartoony. Akin to WoW's, not particularly realistic in either appearance or movements. Nothing like Grounded's, for instance. If it's a lighter version of the phobia, It might be enough to not trigger.

Don't forget retrievers. Big demonic spider-like constructs you run into from time to time. They're not "everywhere", but you'll still occasionally encounter one.

My advice to people with this issue is you need to decide not to. I had the same problem until I actively told myself they're just pixels on the screen and thus can't hurt you. Forced myself to go into game areas that have spiders and now they don't really creep me out so bad anymore. (Except for those little alien-spider bastards in Satisfactory. Those frikin things still send shivers up my spine.)

Real spiders are still a bit of a problem, but at least I can actually play certain video games now.
