GPU overheating..
Unfortunately, I have the issue with the game that the temperature of my GPU increases rapidly. Even in the menu! It takes 5 - 10 minutes until my graphics card scratches at 100 ° and the PC shuts down to emergency .. I've already tried everything .. GPU cleaned .. current drivers .. the graphics options turned down completely .. The FPS is limited .. nothing helps ! Does anyone have an enlightening idea?

try to limit fps on nvidia setting , post your specs, its hard to diagnose if youre hiding it

No, and I have read this is common issue, hopefully future patches fix it. I don't keep an eagle eye on my cpu temps constantly while gaming either (not at all actually) so I bet a lot of non-techy general computer users like me are not noticing unless the computer itself slows down from getting too hot or something.

this is false....Most people are having no issues. There are 1000s playing the game and only a few dozen complaining on these forums. people see 10 posts with the same issue and all the sudden they think this must effect 1000s...lol. 37K in game.

Since it's Unity game - check if it is correctly added to your GPU control panel, then set frame limits (to 60 for example) by any kind of method. Sometimes they have tendency to go unlimited frames on menus and such, causing GPUs to overheat.

My gpu has not gone above 64c so far. I would suggest to add another fan or two to your case. 144hz, 1440p, all settings high. Played 9 hours so far, not gone above 64c.

simple just open your case and look at it and see if its turning. Fans fail a lot ..especially if they get packed with dust and are not blown out occasionally. Its abrasive and the bearings wear out. If thats not the issue then you need better cooling if you have already limited the FPS. . My Gpu runs about 62C in this game. I know that because i have Afterburner displaying my temps on screen while playing the game.

Turning off SSR and HBAO solved my heating issues. Good luck OP.

but why is that only an issue with that specific game? much more graphic intense games runs well.. i can even run games like cyberpunk smooth, with this old 970.. i dont understand why my gpu freaks out with an isometric crpg?

Obviously there not more graphics intensive.. Just because its isometric. That does snot indicate how many Graphics techs the game iis running. I could make and image that looked like trash that your PC would run at 5 FPS. How it looks and how graphics intensive it is are not related. Depends mostly on the artists and how those techs are used.
