Arctis 7 Steel Series wireless headset keeps turning off in game
OK weirdest bug that I thought was just my headset battery at first, but after testing since yesterday in multiple games and websites, I found out my wireless headset shuts off after a minute or two in WotR. As in it literally just powers down and I have to turn it back on. Even weirder, it only happens when it's plugged in, unplugged it works fine.

Never seen that before. Not exactly game breaking since I just need to use my wireless headset as intended, wirelessly, just weird. Thought I would share.

Have exactly the same problem ... first also thaught battery is low ... cable is broken ... headset is somehow destroyed .... but ... only happens with Pathfinder and only when its connected via cable.
Any Solutions?

strange. I have an arctis 5 (which is pretty much the same without the wireless) and I have no issues.

Same problem for me

That problem was driving me mad in Kingmaker, replaced my headset in the end.

Steel Series Arctis 7. Was a shame, good quality otherwise.

It's as though it doesn't recognise that it is being used and is going to sleep to save battery. I thought it happened even when unplugged too but I can't test it now.

i guess im refunding they havent even said anything about this issue i might grab it again down the road a year or so but as it stands its just way to buggy and risky to play people are having some pretty severe bugs to the game people with the sound issues i suggest you do the same cause i dont see this being fixed within the 2 week steam refund grace period

I had this issue for a while but after I did oen slight change to in the Power Savings settings I haven't, si it might fix it for you as well.

Open Control Panel.
Set view to "Category" if its not already. (small drop down menu in the top right)
Select "Hardware and Sounds"
Select "Power Options"
Select "Change Plan Settings" for your active power plan.
Scroll down to USB.
Select USB Settings.
Select USB Selected Disable Settings.
Set it to DISABLED.

After I did this ive not had a problem with disconnects. Why this helps? No idea, but after i did that it hasn't disabled itself.

You guys should submit a bug report on this cause the more of us who do it the more likely it will get fixed i think its something to do with the wireless

Yeah like I said, not exactly game breaking. I mean, it's frustrating when you don't know the cause, but once you do you can bypass the problem by just using the wireless headset wirelessly. Not exactly earth shattering impact to use a device as intended.
Yea same here.
