made a lighting mage and noticing that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ every single demon is immune to lighting. why?
every demon I've seen so far is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ immune to lighting. is this going to be a trend for the entire game? if so are there perks that make it so that I can at least reduce immunity to resist?

Demons have a variety of resistances in Pathfinder, so probably. I'm not excusing that for gameplay reasons, I just know they stick pretty close to real Pathfinder stats.

You can take a Mythic Ability (Ascended Element) to ignore resistances and immunities for specific elements. And yes, the vast majority of demons are immune to electrical damage. Most of them also have spell resistance, so Spell Penetrations feats are highly advised.

Basically, demons all come with the following resistances stock:
Immunity to electricity and poison.
Resistance to acid 10, cold 10, and fire 10 and spell resistance based on the power level of the demon.

Yeah, looking at how many resistances demons have early on is making me really appreciate going blood kineticist that gets to just ignore resistances.

*flicks lights on and off* Why isn't this working!?!?

I went with a kineticist focused on air, big regrets.

Until you get your first mythic level. You can take a Mythic Ability to ignore such immunities and resistances.

Demons from straight out of the tabletop in both D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder, are immune to lightning. Sorry bud.

Its not path specific, any character can take it, including companions. Its very good for Ember who's already setup to be a fire-based caster.

IIRC, any class with spellcasting ability and Kineticists can take it.

You need to unlock your first mythic ability/feat.... at the end of Chapter 1. If you can last until then, you will get your just reward.

Thankfully that's before you start regularly encountering the truly nasty demons.

It is by design that you really struggle against Demons before Ascending to Mythic status.

That is exactly *why* Mythic Characters are needed, as regular heroes, even Level 20 ones, just won't cut it in the long run.
