can't mount Giant Centipede?

I'm playing a halfing cav and my giant centepede is one size larger. I'm passed the beginning where you aren't allowed to mount but it still wont let me mount it. I've tried other beasts of the same size and I can mount those.

I have run into the same thing. It seems like it cannot be used as a mount.

No, you can rid dogs, wolves and triceritops without a barding. I find it odd that you can take giant centipede and cant mount it even though it can take mount based feats.

I'm glad I tried it first with a halfling, It would suck to get to lvl 7 only to discover your mount {the whole reason to pick a cav} can't be mounted

They really should specify that in the description

It's medium same as dog. you need to be one size lower than your mount.

halflings can ride dogs at lvl 1 but not giant centipedes

Hopefully they fix the animations and add it back in later.
Has anyone tested with the other options like bear, elk, smilodons, etc?
I was using Triceratops.

Yep it flat out just doesn't work as a mount.

Yeah i respecced my main character the centipede wasn't doing so great for me most likely lost my decision making progress but hopefully all previous convo's saved and just reset my alignment

If you read the Cavalier descriptions..Most of the subclasses are limited to a horse mount. Only a few of them can mount other mounts.

I ... kinda hate this tbh, i was hoping to roll Fearsome leader but i dont want a boring horse.

Yeah seems hunter is one of the few that can mount any of the animals
