Use better Antivirus... Microsoft Security Essentials, or whatever it's called these days (Windows Defender it is) hasn't produced a single false-positive ever since it came out, at least not in my case.
Given that its definitions are updated almost daily and carry the Microsoft name, i.e. Microsoft's reputation being at risk, that's highly unlikely.
Besides, Bitdefender, just like the crap from McAfee is known for producing false-positives due to bad/overly aggressive heuristics, just like it did in your case.

And honestly I would rather the occasional false positive (only the second one I have had in years of use) then to let something though (which I have never had)
Just kidding around.
Then use a search engine and look up some comparisons... BitDefender is notorious for false-positives, and that isn't a mark of quality, but exactly the opposite, namely a badly written heuristics algorithm.
I also have Bitdefender (I have the Steam version pre-loaded) but Bitdefender didnt complain.
