Is it safe to party with evil aligned characters if I'm good (for the most part)
I say this because I want to make a monk character that helps others whenever possible, but I also think Hell Knights look cool.

If I were to team up with someone like Regill will he try to stab me in the back because of my good-aligned choices?

Hopefully not, I want him to be the Vegeta of my crew.

When you make key decisions you can lose relationship standing with companions whose beliefs don't match up with your decisions, this goes for all companions. Just means you'll have to make some decisions that he approves of at least some times in order to stay in his good graces.

It's why you probably don't want to be bringing the very lawful good paladin lady in your party if you plan on becoming a demon lord and flooding the land with your demon army.

But do they actually betray you in some point in the story? Or attack you? Or just leave?

Ahh okay, all the characters I've decided on are of various alignments ranging from good-evil.

Maybe it'll work out. My character isn't always going to be the merciful type to people who have blood on their hands.

Didn't kingmaker have companions leaving if you were too opposite of their alignment? If you made too many kingdom choices in opposition to their values.they could leave too.

Pretty much this. IMO, Regill's alignment is Lawful Evil mostly because he is ruthlessly pragmatic rather than having evil ambitions.

Companions can leave if your path differs too much from their alignment. As a lich you’ll end up losing most if not all of the living companions but gaining undead ones instead. I’m pretty sure one of the companions leaves if you progress as an Aeon. You’ll also lose all of the companions if you take the swarm path.

Yeah, I heard that about swarm and suspected as much for Lich. Is it similar for Demon mythic too?

Depends what happens in act 5 i guess?

Havent seen anyone abandon you before Act 5 as demon, the Hand even calls you out on it a few times

Oh that's promising.

Will party members be aware of your various exploits if they weren't with you when you made the decision? In games like this I'm always surprised that word never gets back to your companions about major choices you made in their absence that they would otherwise care deeply about.
