Soooo many classes...except the one I want :(
I'm amazed at all the classes/archtypes available. However, I'm very sad that THE ONE class I wanted to play since Kingmaker is not included. That would be the Summoner. I tried to push for this class during kickstarter, but it never happened. So bummed. Instead we have 4 different varieties of similar base classes like the cleric. It's a shame because the summoner is so unique. <sigh> maybe next game. Yes, I do hope there is a next game as I will back it as well.

They said that summoner had to be left aside. It was either do the summoner and only add that one (so don't do oracle, hunter, skald, shaman and witch), or do all of the other classes. Summoner mechanics take to much time to implement. So if they appear it's going to be in the next game, and that's not even likely.

your next best bet is to contact the boys who did COTW for kingmaker, and see if you can see if they will put them in in their mod for Wotr. While you are there put a good word in for ninja please. Thanks.

Also no investigator... I much less broken and silly class and would have been amazing on a Trickster path. :(

Even though it isn't in the base game, if it gets modded into the game your eidolon should have a lot more appearance options than the kingmaker mod did. There are a lot more outsider, undead and animal models in the game now.

summoner is a very complex class, its eudo's have a lot of strange and time consuming mechanics.

there was a mod for it for kingmaker and it was..very messy, to say the least.

I think the Summoner brings with it a lot of mechanics that are not part of the game. SO it would be a lot of work for them. Other classes are just variations of classes they already have . SO not much to add.

When it came to more mechanic complicated classes especially when it come to some of the classes archtype not in game. Maybe in DLC and later update they could introduce a complex class such as a Summoner for such a advance class . Due to the amount of published classes and archtype's found in Pathfinder 1E books. The publisher can only do so many for the resources and time they had.

As complicated as a summoner is for the mechanic's involved. For 1E playing as a wizard or cleric necromancer as a pc when it come to table top side of the game . They can have a lot of option's when it come to making undead and acces to some template's related to undead for the amount they can control in mechanical terms of complexity .

As there are about 38 classes, a lot of prestege classes and 5+ archtype for each classes when it come to the table top side. Maybe if they are not added in the future through a update or dlc. You could find it through mod's that the modder's for King maker added to the default game.

There is the Monster Tactician class. But you would have to figure a way around the level 13/14 monsters problem. (26:05 of video).

the biggest thing this time around (apart from the raw amount of content per se which can be expanded upon as already stated) is that this games will have official support for the modding community, which potentially means modders will be able to do much more than what they could do previously and in a much easier way.... soooo... yeah I think summoner mod will come in this game too to be honest...

I'm always baffled by how many people actually like summoner classes. I dislike the idea with a passion for the most part. I'm not opposed to using summoning stuff from time to time where needed, but I'd much rather do things with my character and what they are capable of without a pet to have to manage.
In a game that has the option of turn based combat though that's less of an issue, but the mind set still remains. It's probably why I generally don't play a hunter with a pet, or a druid with animal companions either. Just prefer to be my own thing.

I agree with everything except sometimes I’ll roleplay it’s me and my real world pet saving the day so I need an animal companion in game I can name after him.
And that's fine. I'm not trying to dictate how anyone role plays or plays a game, just giving my perspective is all.

Same here I’d love it if Gunslinger was added to the game.

Yeah, I feel your pain, wanted this class as well, heck, wanted it more than a lot of the added stuff
