Do weapons affect beast shape?

So, I recently swapped from Bloodrider to the barbarian that can beast shape, i was wondering if weapons/armour has any effect still while your shape shifted? Trying to see if its worth it to change into a wolf, for example, everytime I rage instead of just staying as normal self.

With some exceptions: no.

Being a beast means you get beast defense, and beast attacks.

I see. So when it comes to equipment, i should most likely focus on equipping other party members first if I plan to be raging/beast shaped alot then, since the bonuses wont apply.

Kind of. You'll still need to equip yourself. Armor, shield, and weapon doesn't apply but everything else does. So your amulet, bracers, rings, hat, etc etc.

You'll probably want to keep up to date on your amulet of mighty fist
