Decide the Lexicon's fate?
I just finished Act 4 and failed a "Decide the Lexicon of Paradox fate" quest which i didn't even know was a thing really. I made sure I did all the 'timed' quests. I remember nocticula asking me about it but I rejected the lexicon in the lab. Did i miss something? That feels like it would be a major plotline and i'm not too far to go back and rectify things if so

Its not that important. You can only give it to them if you have both parts anyway ( first from lab second from nocticula palace ) . If you had picked the one from the lab and given it to the queen the quest is also impossible to complete.

I saw no concequences for "failing" it in my playthrough. Nor would I have given her the book even if I could . I see no reason to side with Nocticula outside of a demon path playthrough.

Ooooh, I do remember giving the queen that cause i didn't care to keep it. I absolutely didn't intend to give it to the head demon hoe in charge but just wanted to make sure i didn't miss something crucial

The queen will return the first part back to you and you can merge the 2 parts (you either need to pass some big skill checks or have done something else that I dont want to spoil )

I finished the game, kept the book to myself, didn't find any use for it.

It's required for secret ending.

You can freely give it away after "merging" the 2 paths and receive its knowledge

It's not that important, it only unlocks secret ending and may be required for it after you decipher it - it's still unknown whether you should keep it or not after deciphering it due to buggy nature of the last acts :/

I meant its not that important to GIVE it to her not that the entire thing is not.

According to people that managed the secret ending you just need to decipher/merge it and you are good for the secret ending.

I'm following the path of the Trickster and i accidentally gave the 1st part of the Lexicon to Galfrey before showing it to the council. Is it really necessary for my mythic quest or can i gave it in Act 5 when Galfrey gave it back?
