Just play WotR, the better one. Though other might say play Kingmaker, the most polished one.
I recommend the latest game of the series.
if you are a pathfinder veteran dive in in wrath, I won't say its better than kingmaker but it will let you go wild with your builds (I did not expect gestalt to be in the game :)
Yes, play Kingmaker first.
Wrath is your more intense full on demi god type story and gameplay and it has a more distinctive mid game change of pace.
Play Pathfinder kingmaker first then move on to the more epic side of a game. There are some characters from kingmaker that appear in wrath and one of them is important. The events of kingmaker are also brought up
WotR has a lot more races and classes to choose from (though the meta of what is useful is dramatically different).
There are a few characters from Kingmaker that show up in this game, but nowhere near enough to call it a sequel.
I would say if you're planning on playing both, play Kingmaker first to give the devs more time to smooth out WotR. If you're just playing one, play WotR if you want an epic campaign, and Kingmaker if you want a more classic campaign.
