I have already found the lair, I just need the keys apparently to get in. Neither Targona or the Herald have been able to help. I am unfamiliar with this other crusader you're talking about though unfortunately
The key is the same key which the Hand of the Inheritor used to open the portal. Is there an issue with that? Usually accompaning Targona to the spot opens up the option right away to enter the lair when you have the key with you. You did not put the key in your personal chest, dropped or sold it by accident?
I honestly do not remember, I didn't put it in my stash i don't think though I can check.
- take Yaniel with you to fight Minagho
- have the Aasimar slaves point to a key when you save them at the Flesh Market
- let Berenguer cause trouble
You only need 1, the other two are for optional minor loot. If you missed them all I think you'll either have to accept it, or go back to an earlier save.
wow that seems incredibly stupid that they'd screw you that hard if that's the case
Where is Berenguer? I don't think I ever got the option to take him with me or anything and he's nowhere in my camp
He's currently being held by a slaver in the slave market that refuses to sell to me sadly
If you managed to convince him to join the crusaders, he would have come along with Yaniel and Targona.
After making enough reputation you can bail him out for gold.
well damn, looks like I only had 2 options then [/spoiled]
So I went back to my save where I rescue the slaves (I didn't speak to the aasimer that wanted to free them prior to this) and when I bought their freedom they didn't say anything about a key. DId I do something wrong here?
That question is better answered by aqa or someone else who experienced it. I can only assume it has something to do with how it turns out, when you send the freshly bought slaves to the other Aasimar. It becomes later on a follow up quest, but I did not get an extra key or whatsoever since I sent mine to my camp..
I killed the slaver to free them, not sure if that makes a difference but I think it does. And you need a skill check (I think perception) while talking to the aasimar slaves. They then reveal a chest a few meter to the right with a key in it.
And while you're at it.
You "meet" a somewhat imporant NPC in Echo's lair, who can either live or die. I am not 100% sure how to keep him alive, my current best guess is to stop attacking just before you win.
Yes, that makes all the difference. You have to KILL the slaver that is selling the Aasimer, do not buy them. Only then will they give you the option to talk about the Echo of Deskari for the key. TYVM, you saved me from having to re-do roughly 6-8 hours of play, instead I only am losing roughly 3-4 hours
