Act 4 Purple Knife
So, I have a question for answers as spoiler-free as possible please. I'm playing a CG Azata playthrough, I just finished a part of a quest where the storyteller in the tower asks to see the purple knife i got in act 1, he says... not much. The quest then says "Show it to Samira" and the angel on my shoulder says "Dont you fkin dare".

Does this matter much? Will refusing to show her the knife kill some kinda plotline/quest? Or does showing it to her end a questline instead? Not sure if i'll do a second playthrough of this in a long long time so kinda trying to maximize my questline potential.

When you meet Shamira in the Ardent Den, do not show her your crystal dagger. Depending on the Mythic she might simply steal it from you or show no immediate interest. This dagger is required. Her quest line also gives you a Nahyndrian Crystal. However this is not a fresh crystal and will not count. The important part is keeping the information from Shamira will require 3 difficult will skill checks (unknown dc, high 30s to mid 40s at least).

This is from the most copy&pasted guide I have ever seen in regards of one of the secrets of the game. Up to you what you want to do with this information.

I stopped halfway through that as it seemed it was getting past what I wanted to know. I already finished her 'quest' and there was a dialogue option to report that before even showing the dagger.

Basically the bottom line is don't show it to her to avoid ruining a future quest/plotline?

Correct. It is most likely a similar situation with the Paradox book and the queen.

If it gives you comfort: I am on my third playthrough right now. After the first I wanted to replay the game so hard, the last time I felt like doing so was with Knights of the Old Republic just to see what the dark side has to offer.

And with every playthrough I get to see something new. Whether by choice of the mythic path, timing of quests, or simply decisions I did not think the story writers would care about so much that it has an total different outcome - with every thing which differs and every thing I am seeing for the first time, it feels like every playthrough so far is worth it.

It makes it really worth to share experience and you cannot but wonder how much the other you talk about the game has seen what only you have seen so far and vice versa.

I definitely see a ton of replayability in the game that I want to explore, BUT I have so many other games I have to finish too, and who knows if i'll ever get back to it. Aeon seems interesting, along with trickster. I always convince myself i'll play an evil playthrough in RPGs but i'm too much a spineless goody two shoes to ever follow through lol
