hi all!
would like to ask for your opinion on equipment.
what considered to be the best equipment for every companion?
also what considered to be best equipment for overwhelming sorc that is half gold dragon and half elemental bloodline fire? i do think that fire dmg boost items can go well with this build, but would like to know which items or if there are other items who could fit better

Ok, here we go about Sorc. Items in the bottom part. Some can be replaced for more SR, or more Touch accuracy, or more Dmg.

A long copy-paste, wrote to someone who asked for a simple 20 lvl into Sorc but working character. Can't say it's min-maxed, since it was my 1-st run in this game without knowing and remembering much things about Pathfinder at all, but it became more or less so, and i learnt most things while playing it and changing it the further i was going, so it and easily carried Core difficulty almost solo. Elf race is overkill in later game since spell penetration becomes much higher than toughest bosses' SR.

Sorcerer - all 20 lvl - and focus on Fire - is easy way to play the game with no problems from like level 5 and beyond :)

(In 2 words: you dump all into Spell Penetration, Evocation School and Fire. Get yourself 1st Mythic Ability as Ascendant Fire and burn everything with Fire. Get items that boost your Fire and Evocation and Touch rolls.)

(Not in 2 words):

Class:
- Sorcerer

Subclass:
- Overwhelming Mage -- the easiest because of a lot of a spell penetration. Other can also work.

Race:
- Elf -- has more built-in spell penetration, but honestly going written this way you will have a lot of it if you go Overwhelming Mage, so can choose another race if you want.

Draconic bloodline:
- Gold dragon -- or another dragon that is focused on fire - for more fire dmg

(you will be able to get second bloodline later near lvl 6+ as Mythic ability - you can take Elemental Fire Bloodline there - it will allow you to conver all your elemental spells into fire, not necessary, but chain lightning converted to fire is nice and funny)

Background & Religion:
- Whatever you like.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Feats:

In any order and combination you want:

- Spell penetration / Greater spell penetration / Mythic spell penetration
- Spell focus Evocation / Greater spell focus Evocation
- Elemental focus Fire / Greater elemental focus Fire
- Metamagic Quicken Spell (will allow to cast you 2 spells in 1 round later)

Mythic Abilties & Feats:

- Ascendant element Fire !!! -- this is must have ASAP -- let's you attack with fire anything in the game and ignore it's fire imminuties and resistances.

- Elemental bloodline Fire -- this let's you convert to fire every other elemental spellm mostly Chain Lightning & Cone of Cold are good

- School mastery Evocation

- Favourite Metamagic Quicken -- will reduce the requirement for a quickened spell from 3 circles higher to 2 circles higher

--------------------------------------------------------------

Other feats & mythic feats, abilities are not must have, but nice to have:

- Improved critical Ray -- and other feats about critical & ray - making your rays more deadlier by chance (rays will be your best boss & hard mob killer)

- Last Stand -- mythic ability - let's you survive and not to care about any dmg you recieve for several rounds when you go to 0 hp - can be helpful for "wtf is that" encounters

- Point-blank shot & Precise shot -- a bit more accurate rays casting for enemies engaged in combat with your companions, helpful but not must have

--------------------------------------------------------------

Azata mythic path is nice. But other paths can also work.

And that's basically it. Same feats, same destructive magic focus - everything will die by your sorcerer's spells easily. First 5 levels will be the hardest. Anything above level 10 will melt.

Items that will be nice to have, you will get them from shops eventually or drops:

1. -- everything that boosts your Fire Damage > Evocation School > Touch Spells > Spell Penetration

2. -- Metamagic RODS -- Maximized and Empowered especially

Knowing when you started and that you should be somewhat around Act3/4 - is it not a little early? I mean, you might wait forever until you actually come across the best in slot equipment.

But you should have access to Ring of Pyromania already at least. The Convenant of Inheritor and the Tankard of Free Spirit. And the Black Dragon Fang. Carapace is great too. I personally love the Goggles of Malocchio.

The stuff sold in the Azata court is hilarious good too. Need to take a closer look on them. Make sure to take all infinity rings... I mean those which give you extra spells. Along the way there is also a book which works somewhat like Abundant Casting.

Oh well then hi again :D

Gear for companions to boost your MC or boost themselves?
Depends on which companion and build do you want to use.

There are some pure 20 lvls companions or mercenaries/builds that cen be nicely made if you like simplicity but effectiveness. Pretty easy to make 20 lvl 2H fighter with a Greataxe for big crits as a mercenary or respec-ed companion. Then Brown Fur Transmuter is a super good buffer for basically anyone - pure 20 lvls also can be done. Lvl 20 Rowdy Rogue with a bow will hit hard with vital strike without buffs even. Lann 20 lvls zen archer is good by himself also. There is a mutant build for Bites, that makes like 10-12 attacks per round, but with many dips if u'r fine with complexity.

About items - will need to log in to see what i got on my companions in the end of the game on those runs. Write which class or companion or build your are looking for - will be easier to help and for other people also. In any case i would for sure make 1 companion a summoner or at least able to cast buffed summons and give him that 1 item from the end of act 2 Necromancer location that summons several powerful Ballu's or Angel's that can tank well and even deal dmg, and grant you aura. I will write the name later if you don't have it.

Indeed. Pretty much everything which is good for you can be good for companions as well. The thing is: I do not remember you ever told us what classes your companions are. So it is a little guessing, a little assuming the default ones ~ so the recommendations for equipment would be a little guessing, a little assuming for the default companions.

Unfortunately I am not very good in remembering where to find what. I am glad you have Tusk_Luv as an expert helping you out. I remember they gave you the suggestion before, I just did not think of it despite it was already so well detailed with all the equipment.

It is hard to do any better than that. Just pointing out on really strong stuff. Like Stormlord's Resolve or something like that in BlackWater. Giving your sorceress access to lightning spells too can be a boon. A lot of good things I am using for a long time, depending on my party.

Like the Headcracker (nutcracker? why did I remember it as nutcracker???) Voice of Hollow or Wicked Longbow. Inbetween there were some generic good stuff, like agile holy bow +2 or something like that. A whole lot more I sold because I had not a fitting party. e.g. plenty of Quarterstaffs. Which changed since I made Lann a Quarterstaff Monk Master.

Other stuff like Celestial Protection I like. But I can imagine experts like Tusk_Luv have better ideas than that.

oh i didnt thought that every companion have a different build >.< slip my mind!

for my MC -
i use Detainer crossbow - amazing crossbow!!!
red dragon helmet
bracers of the wizard
unholy signet
oppressors gloves
silver robe and some other crap xD

im always running with :
Daeran (i told my bf i would definitely marry the dude, then i showed him a few phrases of his and he agreed that if he was a girl, he would marry him too lol!)- i used this build for him:
https://fextralife.com/daeran-build-pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous-guide/

Selaah - she is slow, ages till she gets somewhere but her horse is the realm gem here!
i used this build her:
https://fextralife.com/seelah-pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous-companion-build-guide/

Lann - i like that he shoots 3 times and does amazing dmg.
used this build for him:
Pure Zen Archer Build For Lann:
https://www.thegamer.com/pathfinder-wrath-righteous-best-lann-builds/#pure-zen-archer-build-for-lann
and also looking a bit here:
https://fextralife.com/lann-pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous-build-guide/

Arueshalae - shes amazing, would definitely part with some of my soul for her!
using this build:
Level 8 version cause got her early
https://www.neoseeker.com/pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous/builds/Arueshalae

i dont really see any point using other companions..
used to run with Woljif, but after his betrayal, i got disappointed.
Woljif build im using:
Scoundrel Knight
https://www.neoseeker.com/pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous/builds/Woljif

im using Azura mythic thing cause i found out i dont have to be chaotic good for this - i can be chaotic neutral as well - the 1 something from the alignment :D
that gave me this weird bugged dragon that make my life in drezen very buggy xD
didnt dress him yet lol.

my horse is Bulwark - found frozel scales for him for now :D

Don't call me expert haha, i'm definitly not a one, I just nerded the game for several weeks, starting as a neewbie in Pathfinder.

You follow fine builds, for the most part you want items that boost the highest stat of your companions, for phys chars its all pretty simple usually. Str for melee warriors as it gives them bigger chance to hit and dmg. For Lann u would like tp boost Wis (i think it was wis) also since things work like that with zen archers and dex. Don't give him armor also, but a monk robe is nice. Amulet for natural attacks. Daeran can learn summon magic for summons in your party, it's conjuration based anyways. Headgear for chanelling energy or mental stat boost. "animal boost spells" (like bulls strengh or bears endurance) dont stack with belts also keep in mind. I will look into my gear on some chars i had when i come home.

You are being modest with that. I can clearly see how much efforts you put into the suggestions for angardia and based on your other forums posts I can say with certainty you have extensive knowledge I can trust. I make recommendations by guts feeling, while yours could be as well good for an advanced guide.

Robe of Determination - 1 of the robe btw for your MC. I put it off since already had tons of Spell Penetration but it boosts SP even more. I remember having >100 Spell penetration at one point, with SP modifier >80. So i took off some SP items.

The covenant of the Inheritor - looks like a medal, is in the slot of Usable items 1 of my companions carry because it gives aura for +2 caster lvl checks to overcome SR and also gives everyone Good align weapon status. So it boosts both our MC and all party vs demons.

Ring of summoning - for the one who makes summons in your party if anyone. Boosts summons a bit. This and all items for summons i give to 1 character usually, often it's a buffer, so i don't waste my attacks etc. Or the one i want to keep the safest or far from action. Duality of Conjuration and Summoning - this is the summoning item i was talking about from Act 2 in a Lich room basement in Chapel. One of the best summons in the game from Act 2 that can carry you through the whole game and many fights as tanky meat, aura givers and even somewhat damage dealers.

Lone Wolf's Cloak - for archers. Trying to keep them staying close to each other also. Boosts the holder and nearby allies range dmg and saving throws.

Perilous Shade - to the the one who kills the most in your party. Gives the wearer Greater Invisibility effect after he kills someone. I gave it to the harder hitting archer in my party. Can give to melee also if want.

Assailant belt - 6 dex and +2 bonus to rolls and dmg for 3 rounds after you made a crit. Gave to same boosted archer.

Goggles of Malocchio - debuff on bow's crit hit to the target + bonus on perception check. For archers.

All round defenses Ring and Half of the pair Amulet - can be given to 2 characters that usually fight together close to each other. Both boost their AC and amulet boosts hit rolls also.

Clear vision - helmets for Melee users. Don't remember where from, but you will be able to get a bunch of those in Act 4 or 5. I think it's from that dude that chases some elf girl from Act 1. if you fight and kill him and his bunch of elves

Wraith of the Undead - a really powerful Cloak. Though imho even annoyingly powerful. Because it has pretty neat DC of 33 for an aura that scares enemies for 1 min if fail. Why annoying - because they run from you TO THE OTHER PART OF THE MAP making both their move action and action action for running. They run far. Very very far. In the treshold they run till the end of the location and never look back. Never. This, paired with Azata's draong Aivu when she's grown up. Oh my. You better start practice your chasing skills.

Display of Power - belt. 6 Str and -2 on Will saves around us. Give to same Cloak holder. Btw, you can place that Cloak and Belt on Aivu. And make her have double aura of fear with debuffing belt. It's a nightmare.

Boots of Stampede - boosts your charge dmg. I don't know honestly how does charge mechanics work and stack with your animal companion in this game. SInce charge is still broken somewhat and can not work. But with all charge items for 1 character on a charge mount. If they all stack and work together and your charge damage stacks with your Mount (deer or triceratops benefit from charge even more). There should be some insane 4-digit numbers. I saw Nerd Commando (youtube) making 1 charge Legend build for 5000+ crits and i think he didn't eveen use all the items, and leopard instead of those 2. But even without Legend it should be thousands of damage.

Note that you'll have to constantly reactivate it. For some reason it keeps turning off any time a new zone or savegame is loaded. It's for everybody within 30' of the wearer, so it doesn't have to be on your MC if your belt is full.

You have a list of the game's unique items here[www.neoseeker.com], most of them include a location as well.
