I mean, NO ONE hides their alignment if it's Good. There can be some exceptions, but as a general rule, its means they are Evil and have somethin to hide.
I think her twist is just there for people who never read anything in RPGs. Its spoiled the first time you try to level her and the interface tells you directly what her alignment is. But only if you read.
You can go that build with him and still get him out of trouble if he gets into any. Since he also can pick up a Ki ability that lets him dimension door. But in my entire time of playing him in multiple playthroughs he never once got in trouble enough to bother using it.
All I was saying that even outside of min/maxing (which I think people focus too much on anyway) Zen Archer is good by default. Can't tell you how many times Lann cleaned house by himself due to how the Zen Archer works. Even late game it's been pretty consistent.
But again, to each their own. I'm not going to argue about this as if sides need to be taken. Both Wendu and Lann have their own pros and cons, and one can be be more preferred depending on how much you're optimizing and what your team needs.
That said, Lann can give himself true strike with his zen archer ability on top of his perfected strike and his flurry of blows working on his arrow shots.
This opens up a lot of options together. Boss has very high AC? no problem true strike will take care of that. Mirror Image? Flurry his ass and take away all his mirror images so the rest of your party can hit the enemy.
His wisdom 17 means he can go crusader or another divine class once you get what you need from Zen Archer. And that opens up Divine Favor, Divine Power and the like to add even more to that.
And since you get him at level 1, he's very flexible to build with a very good chassis to work with.
