Did you pick both steps for the MC? If yes, did you test it with spells that last at least 5 minutes?
Not important here, but the ability works fine for me and all my casters in the party.
Vanish, sense vitals, displacement is round based at max is less than 10 min not even greater enduring can help it.
There are plenty of good spells available to arcane users. Every 24 hours I always spend a minute using Nenio giving 24 hour buffs like: permanent good hope, greater heroism, greater magic weapon, life bubble, blur, see invisibility or true seeing, greater angelic aspect, frightful aspect, mage armour, shield, protection from arrows, protection from acid/cold/electricity/fire/sonic, charisma/wisdom/strength/dex buffs, enlarge person. Late game that includes foresight, heroic invocation, mind blank, and so on.
And another minute with Daeran buffing everyone with with 24 hour magical vestment, permanent crusader's edge, archon's aura, spell resistance, aid, shield of faith, remove fear. protect from evil, death ward, freedom of movement and so on.
Perma-buffing your party into super human killing machines not only lets you stomp over most enemy encounters but saves lots of time.
