Lich Spells Fire damage?

As the title says, I am playing on core and cannot figure out why all my lich spells are fire damage? Not my normal mage spells. Lich spells only.

That sounds weird. Personally I picked death of elements straight away so all my damage was negative energy from the beginning of unlocking the path, so I can't really tell you what it's supposed to be (I assumed negative energy).

Check your equipment.

There is at least a pair of bracers, which converts all energy damage to electricity.
Maybe your Character is wearing something similar, but for fire?

He said "not my normal mage spells", which is why that can't be the case.

Its super annoying. All late game demons are fire immune pretty much and I have checked combat logs- some times the damage shows up as unholy or negative energy as it is supposed to. However, after a few casts it switches to fire???

I don't suppose you have something like the fire elemental bloodline arcana for sorc active, do you? I wouldn't be surprised if things like that would work on lich spells after you merge the spellbook.

I am the Curoromancer (blood mage) originally. I have checked gear, feats and mythic talents. Additionally none of my allies have abilities that change my Lich spell damage types. I think it has to be a bug or something very odd. It just really sucks because lots of those lich spells have no SR and do straight unholy or negative damage- carried me through a bunch of fights. However- in the super late game something changed and I cannot figure it out for the life of me.

it sounds very strange, the only thing i can think of is elemental bloodline fire, but if you didnt dip into an elemental blood line for bloodline ascendance , unsure

I'm having the same problem, none of my equipment should convert my damage, and whenever i cast exsanguinate or boneshaker it does fire damage. I'm in the midnight fane, when i noticed i loaded a previous save, which solved it temporarely, but it came back for no reason. I'm also playing the lich path, I used to be a cruoromancer as well, but i recently respec'd as an arcanist

Tha Peepla, by chance, do you use devouring lust (the metamagic rod) as well ? I'm thinking it's the only item I have on this character that changes damage type (to unholy). Maybe after using and deactivating it the game tries to return the spells to their original damage type and makes a mistake.

I am using a greater quicken rod and the skeletal finger. Have not heard a response or solution- have even changed up my party. Very strange and I have to think it is a bug.

Have you ever discovered what was causing the problem, OP? I'm currently running into the same bug (?) on my lich run and can't figure out what's causing this,

Holy necro batman !

First thing I can think of : you are fire elemental bloodline something (sorcerer can do it, maybe magus to ?). You have an ability to turn every spell into fire damage.

For eletricity you also have a glove thingie in blackwater that turn all spell damage into electricity as a toggle, which might be on by default.

Nope, as some other people have stated here and on reddit - I don't have one. I'm using arcane bloodline. Looks like this bug is lich-centered only and very few people encounter it.
