Are demons considered humanoids?

I am reading the Witch hex "animal servant" and it says the target must be humanoid. Does it work against demons?

Demon is demon, in-game divided in 2, demon of magic, demon of strength. Check ranger feat favourite enemy to find all enemy type

I also believe they fall under outsider as well, when they say target must be humanoid they often mean human shaped mortal.

Same reason why I can't target my undead with legendary proportions even though it only says the target must be a creature.
