act 2 army questions
i just got an army, its weak xD
also i got some quest to save a bunch of knights in reliable redoubt.
to do so i have to defeat demon army lvl 2 fortification with 27 ugly looking monsters.
im playing on the easiest i think & unfortunately i get smashed by this demon very fast.

how does this army works? how to get stronger units and beast this demon fort?
i dont seem to get this part of the game and it looks like something very uninteresting.
(ima huge fan of HOMM 3, 5, 7 - playing 3 & 5 on the hardest and still unbeatable)

you can recruit every week new units from Kenabres beside that a mage general like Setsuna Shy makes the fights alot easier

You get unit upgrades ( and more crusade perks/abilities/general traits etc etc ) on later acts

In act 2 you are limited to your general and some specific units.

Are you talking about the gargoyle fight ?

Hmm you have a different army than I had.

Basically the problem is that its very resistant to physical but you only have physical units.

Personally I went with Clerics swordmen and archers. Clerics tank and the other 2 did damage VERY slowly. I heard it helps if you have the caster general to cast a few fire spells ( i started with elf general like you so I did not have the other )

thats the units i got.
maybe its related to some npc in the camp?

i just have 0 idea how to make my army bigger or get different units at all
also i think this system or part of the game is kinda unnecessary headache.

Caster general can solo the whole fight on any difficulty. You can pay 7K to Irabeth to double your troop count as well.
