Mind spells, why do they exist?
So many foes of the dangerous kind are immune to them, constructs, undead nightmares, many demons and of course dragons.

Not really a complaint, merely an observation as most spells have their usefulness, some more than others but I am at level 14 and mind spells just don´t seem to be an option.

They were fun at lower levels but now ... meh. Couldn´t land one if my life depended on it.

Well, those spells are part of the Pathfinder ruleset.

Sure, they're not that usefull in Wrath of the Righteous, but any future PF Games by Owlcat will have these speels too.

In base rules you can often get around immunities. The threnodic spell metamagic lets undead be affected by mind-affecting spells, coaxing spell does the same for vermin. No such luck here, I believe the only options for those two are the undead and serpentine bloodlines for sorcerer.

Demons generally aren't immune, they just have such inflated saves that save or suck spells seldom land anyway.

Enchantment spells and mind affecting illusions never work on undead, vermin, or constructs. A lot of high level outsiders are also heavily resistant or immune to them. They were a bit more effective against the fey in Kingmaker.

I don't know if they will be much better in the next campeign they make or not. If they go for Iron Gods, we could see a lot of constructs, which would be immune. Mummy's Mask is a lot of undead, also immune. Something like Rise of the Runelords, however, has much more normal enemy types like giants and humanoids, which would be vulnerable to such spells. It really depends on the campeign.

Most spells are useless. If I read that an enemy has to make a saving throw and takes no damage I don’t bother: he’s gonna make it. Any enemies that don’t make their saving throws are too weak to cast a spell on anyway, so you just glob up and kill them quicker.

There are two bloodline arcana which you can combine that makes mind affecting magic impact undead and all kinds of other creatures.

Zippy magic and best jokes combine to low spell slot fight ending CC.

Enchanter is an old school fantasy archetype, so it's in the fantasy game.

In PnP at least you have special mind control spells for constructs, undead can be mind controlled with metamagic thanodic or maybe thanatopic spell, dragons shouldn't be immune at all and is just cRPG change.

Part of the skillset for players playing casters, at least in theory, is knowing what to have memorized. So mind spells being useless most of the time is offset by them being amazing the few times when they're usable.

Of course, the wierdly inflated saves in this game kind of knock that idea on its head a little.
