Look for a composit longbow (or short bow). Those will add in your str bonus for damage. Dex will only ever be to hit.

Other then that you need to pick the specific bow feet that costs attack bonus but gives bonus damage in return. Can't remember its name.

As you add in weapon specialization (if possible) and other high level (and mythic) feats your bow damage will start to go up nicely.

Rapid Shot - more attacks, more damage

Bows don't get damage from dex, only hit chance. You need str for that and it only works with composite bows, not regular bows.

Pick clustered shot, rapid fire, deadly aim and point blank shot to get more damage. If you're a fighter, get weapon training with bows to get more damage.

Just a general FYI, rapid shot doesn't stack with flurry of blows for Zen Archers or Sohei.

Also use align weapon spell to bypass damage resistances, helps lot in early acts.

The mythic feat that lets you use dex for damage- does it work with bows or only melee?

It should only work for finesse-able melee weapons but last I heard it was also working in some unintended ways. It'd be good to test to see if it's currently working for bows but I wouldn't expect it to remain that way if it does.
