Other then that you need to pick the specific bow feet that costs attack bonus but gives bonus damage in return. Can't remember its name.
As you add in weapon specialization (if possible) and other high level (and mythic) feats your bow damage will start to go up nicely.
Pick clustered shot, rapid fire, deadly aim and point blank shot to get more damage. If you're a fighter, get weapon training with bows to get more damage.
It should only work for finesse-able melee weapons but last I heard it was also working in some unintended ways. It'd be good to test to see if it's currently working for bows but I wouldn't expect it to remain that way if it does.
