it is a secret ending.
You are not exspected to get this during your 1st playthrough.
I did everything what's required, besides shooting deskari at the beggining of the game - and that blocked me from getting the desired ending; over 80 hours wasted.
Besides, it wasn't my first playthrough.
Sure, it sucks if that's the only thing gatekeeping you, but....any secret ending in any game has certain points where choosing A instead of B blocks the ending.
If it is a non-first playthrough you follow the steps. Which you didn't ( one of them at least)
So I fail to see how this is a game design issue. Besides you dont even need to shoot him! you need 5/7 on the dialogue.
The "hard checks" are the number of crystals and the date.
