Generals vanished in act 5

They're all gone, no way to recruit any others.

have you really not destroyed everything on the map by act 5?

They went to the front with the queen, some text says this, with all the troops. If you check them they have a timer on them for when they will come back and allow you to conquer the new parts of the map which opens up in act 5 with demon armies and towers.....need to rebuild your armies and reassign generals.

There are no generals at all, anywhere. When I click "assign general" nothing happens. The generals are all gone, the armies are all gone, there's nothing anywhere. The queen is back, just hanging out having a grand old time boning the generals down in the dungeon or something.

Unfortunately the armies are gone and the generals did go to the front with them. If you wait until you can recruit new units (probably a week?) you will see the option to assign generals on the new troops you recruit. The generals will list the ones you have already built up with the same abilities, but they will have a timer on them....ostensibly the time it takes them to get back from the front where your troops were massacred.

The generals will be available after about 2 days from the start. But the old armies are lost, you need to rebuild them. However i got an overland map ability that reinforces the army heavily (18d cooldown) with units randomly choosen from what is already in the army. So pick your favorite unit, put it in a separate army, and use the ability -> proft. That way i got from 20 marksmen to ~300 in one click...

That did not happen. The generals have been gone for the rest of the game. People seem to lack reading comprehension ability, there are no generals at all. When I click "assign general" nothing happens. There is no other screen. It has been like this for the remainder of the game, I just used cheat engine to get a doomstack. When I click "assign general" nothing at all happens. It doesn't bring up the other menu.

Let me repeat so people will understand: the assign general button is glitched. I tested it by skipping weeks, then months, then an entire year. Assign General button still does not bring up another menu.
