Act3, I don't know where to go next

In act3, I have been to pretty much everywhere.
There are about 3 locations that require floor puzzles but I don't have pieces that can go into them.
Do I need to find the pieces somewhere and solve the puzzles in order to proceed?

No you do not. Any quests in your journal? What did you do last? It could be a timed thing.

The puzzles are for act 5 to finish the last one, but thats a side quest.

To finish act 3 you need to get to Ivory Sanctum and finish it. You get the Key to enter the Sanctum from WinterSun. Than talk with Hand of Inheritor (or whatever he was called) in drezen and finish midnight Fane to finish Act 3 and go to act 4.

He might be on the waiting part for an npc.

If he is, than he needs to start reading dialogs and not skip everything.

well i might have the same problem. i cant see ivory sanctum on my map at all, finished everything in act 3 (except puzzles, know thy enemy and the dragons fate). i waited for few months (banners turned red and morale is at -100 due to lack of enemies to fight on map, enemy armies seem to have stopped spawning (its 9/VI/4716 date wise) and i am lost as what to do. I did take lich mythic path, got both undead companions from it.

Did you kill Arueshalae?

you need to find desolate hovel i think its called? which doesn't show up till after you've done your mythic quest, being a lich i did everything in like 20-25 days cause i hardly rested and then basicly had to skip a ton more days, after doing arlue's lab you need to wait for the queen to arive

Dear God i feel so stupid, been trying to find whats wrong for few days by now i checked map few times, i even skipped days for 2 years in game. But i've never realized theres new location - Greengates. Now that you mentioned "greenpath" i vaguely remembered it was somewhere mentioned in the dialogue, but i must've went to finish other quests first and just forgot about it.

What bothers me is that theres no mark for quest or anything on the location and since it is so close to path i didnt notice that there was no discovered path from the road to it.

Yea, Greengates, my bad. You get the location after a dream from Aru. Dunno how this works if you get her to join you durning Drezen sige [she probly just comes to you and tell you bout it].

If you are referring to Nenios quest chain, it is past act 5 at least. You get the puzzle pieces generally from areas around the puzzle. (Companion quest "More than") Meaning the tablets are normally near the location of the specific area puzzle.

If you try to portal to the areas, if you don't get an evade on the random encounters, you will die unless you are like level 18ish.

och! the dream! dude, i remember now. it skipped itself for me really fast. idk, that was weird but i didnt pay that much mind to it xD heck
