You can choose to either kill the traitors and become her lover or you can go through with the plot(requires will save) and kill noticula and then kill that fallen angel lady and you become king of midnight isles.

After you fight baphomet boss at the end of the crystal mine

Yes you are correct, you can team up but just make sure you follow through with the fallen angels plans. team up doesnt matter as long as you choose to kill her during that quest

What i did was
Because i was gonna ascend to godhood anyways, i let her live and had sexy time with her.

Don't need to become ♥♥♥♥♥♥ king of small abyss area when you are a god and are her equal/superior and maybe continue relationship :p

She is suppose to help you when things get dire like combat with final boss, but at the same time it afford her the ability to spy on you and also influence you actions unless you have a strong will.
