(SPOILERS) Act 5, losing interest.

Okay so I just started Act 5. Got Drezen back and all of that.

So I was role playing some kind of aasimar using the power of demons for the good of the people. I thought it was a cool idea, but I guess I was foolish.

The game forces you to make a choice on mythic rank 8. Either you go full evil if you want to keep the demon path (and lose Arueshuela if you have her in your party) or go full good and literally lose every skills/feats you've acquired if you were a demon. My only choice really now is to go the Legend path and have my build completely messed up if I want to remain "good" and keep Arueshuela.

Not only that, but when I opened the world map after that, I saw that I lost ALL of my income + armies.

So pretty much everything I worked for was thrown in the trash. Im not sur I'll finish the game tbh. Kingmaker didnt do this.

I get it lore wise. But I cant help but think, I cant be the only one with that feeling?

Regarding the demon thing , I think you walked yourself into that situation. Arue made very clear her opinion on demon path in game ( and an internet search shows that a non corrupted arue leaves the party on demon path ) .

For the armies , yeah I was pissed about it a bit as well, I think the logic behind it is that Queen ♥♥♥♥♥ up your armies during act 4.

However because I had good forts, rank 5 on all stats and 2 good generals, I was able to get up on my feet pretty quickly

That said the crusade system in act 5 sucks. There are dozens of armies in the new areas just because. And I just realised that the act is extremely short so maybe that is the reason. Without the crusade mechanics I would have finished the act in a few hours.(there are like only the companion quests, 2 side quests and the mythic quest)

You keep your forts and your generals, only the armies are gone (which annoyed me, too).

Arue is clear...you must corrupt her, if you want to keep her on an evil path. Going Legend is not much of a hardship, as it is probably the most powerful option anyway.
What was this good option that would cost all demon powers?

it is extremely annoying in act 5 that you lost your armies, and, why the hell the first time you go to leave drezen you get a demon army speed right to the city and i have none of my armies to fight them except for like 3 tiny 1 or 2 squad armies that have no general and only very few soldiers in them. they are immediately killed. you cannot create new army before you hit leave area but yet the minute you leave area you are attacked. i had to sit through 3 tiny squads being destroyed before i could access the army management and re create a semi descent army. then i was able to proceed but ,,,,,,,my gosh. they should never have a demon army immediately attack you when you first leave the city in act 5.

The solution there is to wait 2 days to be able to assign a general. You have 3 days until a fort falls (banner going red etc) I assigned my caster general and he said hello to those attacks with some nice fireballs.

The worst thing about the armies being gone is not being able to allocate a general for x days and the game being not very clear about it. I do recommend, however, not rushing the crusade and quest part and actually skipping days as you get tons of events that give you free units, better units and buffs. I got the crusade part out of the way asap, only to end up with 2 stats I cannot hope to upgrade fully and an absolute mountain of units that are pointless since I already did everything. At least keep the last fort for right before the endgame I'd say.

also, if u want to go the legend path depending on whether you took the gift from the succubus queen or not, you gotta pass 2 hard skill checks

I picked Lich mythic but yea, im losing interest too, hopefully things will pick up once i hit Iz.

I understand it being annoying but storywise I thought it was quite clear that the queen took all the players armies with her to Iz.

Not being able to allocate generals directly to your new armies sounds lika a bug, might as well report it with alt-B.

This is my guess but: I think you're not supposed to be attacked immediately, and you're supposed to get an army based on the mythic path that you took. When I take lich, I get a decent undead army in addition to the trash everyone gets. The patch notes mention that Gold dragon didn't get a proper army (but in my experience you get the same trash) so probably a few things bugging out there.

Played as Aeon and got quite a good army filled with different elementals.

I did not get attacked immediately so don't know what is up with that.

Yeah I got my " proper" army after the fix

Except that the dragon units are beyond pathetic/terrible .
