Throwing a great sword ?
Start as a human Two-handed Fighter, take Point blank shot, precise shot, weapon focus great sword. Start Str 18, Int 20 wis and cha 7, con 10 and dex 9. At level 2 take a universalist Wizard scroll savant with a hare. Throwing it, +8 to hit, +7 damage. As a starting damage dealer not bad. Thoughts?

Can you even throw a melee weapon?

Yeah there's like a telekinetic throw thing you can do with your primary weapon, hell i forget where it is in character building tho. Might be under background, I know i saw it tho.

Its a fun ability. But the limited uses per day mean you won't get much mileage out of it.

You might be better off building around throwing axes, since you can use them infinitely.

Huh, crazy. Would that require a ranged touch attack or regular throw attack roll? Limited per level+stat bonus or unlimited?

I mean, why throw a greatsword though if you could do a Warhammer. Maybe with lightning XD

Its from picking Universalist as your wizard school. Its basically a melee attack that you can use at range. but you can only use it 3 times a day plus your Int modifier.

Isn't there also a feat called "Throw Anything"?

There is. But it doesn't actually allow you to throw anything. It just gives you a bonus for throwing flasks yo wear on your belt.

Throw is 3 plus you strength modifer, so with this build you get 7 uses per rest. Replace Force bolt which gives you 8 but the great sword is 3x the damage. They do give you a nice earth maul you could throw as well. I put the maul on Seelah, she likes to thump with it.

This is mainly a wizard build. Just a 1st level fighter. The biggest benefit is to your range spells like snowball, acid and poison arrows. You go up against touch rated armor. You cannot melee, but after your tanks engage, you can dart in and snipe, so the throw is just an initial spell. Scroll savant also makes you a viable healer.

IMO, Throw Anything should do what it currently does, plus have a toggle ability that lets you huck melee weapons when it's toggled on, and do melee normally when it's toggled off.
