Making the checks in the Lexicon of Paradox

Following problem: my main character doesn't have the skills required to read the combined lexicon and cannot use my companions for skill checks for it. Is there a way to push those skills high enough without actually putting skillpoints? i can get moral +4 bonus from spell, +5 or +10 competence from item, +3 from cooking and a few points from the stat - but thats not enough to pass DC 38+ checks...

If you complete the errand for the storyteller , he eventually gives you a blank page which helps you pass all the checks in the lexicon of paradox.

one extra bid i just found out to be aware of.
you need one more extra note for the storyteller after finishing his personal quest.
i thought it was a bug at first,cause i wasnt aware of it and he did give me nothing for simply finishing his quest.

The Goggles of Quick Grasp grant their wearer a +15 competence bonus on Persuasion skill checks as well as all Lore and Knowledge skill checks. How to get them: You are later rewarded with Goggles of Quick Grasp if you support the Nerosyan Royal Council (Lady Konomi's choice) during the rank 6 crusade diplomacy rank up event.
Bit of Fun Mythic Ability gives you a +3 circumstance bonus to all skill checks.

My trickster Divine Hound Hunter made the checks to put the two halves together. It does require planning ahead with your skill points, but I had some left over.

You can also use the bard's song of competence + Touch of Good + the divination specialist wizard's ability + great heroism. That should give around +30 for your skill check. I suppose you could use touch of madness or w/e it is called (another cleric domain ability) for an even greater bonus. Get a merc bard and merc divination wizard and use Sosiel.
