Power attack and Deadly aim made worthless by mid-game design
Due to AC stat inflation in this video game, I feel like it's better to turn off altogether these mods/feats. The penalty is not worth the bonus damage contributed.

(playing on Core / blind / not a Pathfinder or tabletop player)

In TT I actually only ever use them if no other way to beat DR.

Can deff se your point here.

Sometime you may have to rely on crits to hit certain things. The penalty won't matter then.

Depends. On a fighter that has Mythic Weapon Focus, Flawless Attacks, Duelling Gloves and all that kind of stuff, I think it is worthwhile to use it.

Depends on how well you build your characters.
When you only hit on a 20 anyway there is no reason not to use them.
It only gets problematic when you need 11+ or so to hit.

This is how things go in pretty much every game that has stat inflation as a means to increase difficulty. Some things that work fine on lower difficulties will not be as valuable on higher difficulties. I'm not totally sure why that's a problem. It can't be avoided. Just put the setting to "slightly weaker enemies" and turn on the setting for more enemy abilities. That will help provide more challenge without the stat bloat.

They're some of the best feats you can get lol (and as a 2H fighter it's pretty much mandatory). You just haven't made a good build/party setup with enough attack bonus.

I like Deadly aim, if Lann can hit something he can crit up to 60+ at level 7 in my Aeon playthrough

It very depend on the class and buffs available but i generally turn it off when a need around a 10+ to hit.

For example a Mutation Warrior Archer can stack up so much attack bonus that Deadly Aim is almost never off.

if your fighter need a 20 to hit something you doing it wrong, loads of buff, feats and items combinations to send your attack number through the roof

and yes OP sometimes its good to turn off power attack, but its far from worthless, it's up to you as a player to id those situations and plan accordingly

I understand how to play around the different tactics and status which would give AC penalty (prone, flank, paralyzed ...) but ... most of the encounter in this game are staged 'cold-start' ambush and as such, do not let you prebuff (so no heroism, no divine luck, no bless, no prayer, no haste, no magic weapon...).

I definitely feel that the enemy power ramp-up outclass the party (always +15-20 to hit required if not prebuffed) and that turning-off the modals feels mandatory.

This isn't true at all. You can buff all you want before the vast majority of encounters if you do the barest minimum of scouting with a sneaky character. You don't even really need, that. Just sneak the whole group so you don't blunder into a fight. This is only true for scripted encounters.

The enduring mythic chain also boosts buffs to 24 hours. Which is fine for ambushes.

It has always been true, in both Kingmaker and Wrath, that you should turn them off whenever you struggle to hit enemies.

Can you give some examples please? I'm already buffing strength, I'm getting a bless and prayer buff from Darien, I have weapon focus and haste. What else is there?

Bard, Freebooter, level 9 wizard spell that gives +4, espionage master sharing favored enemy (with instant enemy), etc. etc.
