Getting the animal companion through the mythic trait second domain

I chose this for Sosiel to make him more helpful but while I'm level 12 (mythic level 5) his animal companion is only level 2, I was wondering does it go by his mythic level or should it be based on his level?

it's specifically from domain, not the mythic trait, so it'd be based on his cleric level, unfortunately it's just a thing that most classes that don't get an animal companion at level 1 have a significant level gap between the character and the animal

The Feat Boon companion is your friend to solve that issue.

If you have a level 12 cleric sosiel and animal domain and your pet is level 2 then you either forgot to level up your pet or its bugged.

Whats the source of his animal companion? if you took impossible domain: Animal it should be lvl 8 (12-4), and taking boon companion solves that. However lvl 2 is strange - did you get the animal from another source?

Animal domain should be cleric level - 3, so being level 2 is extremely strange

I tried this too a few days ago and got the same result. I reloaded and decided not to bother for now.

I had this happen with my Oracle (animal companion from Nature Mystery taken via Second Mystery mythic). The animal companion levelled up to the appropriate level the next time the MC levelled up. I think respecing might alsonfix this.

Did the same thing, encountered same issue. I had to tough it out until Sosiel leveled up again, at which point his animal realized it should have been level 11.
