Winter Witch

So after reading up on the winter witch it says as a prerequisite you need frost and winter. I am unable to see where you acquire either of those. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

To qualify to become a winter witch, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.

Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 5 ranks, Spellcraft 5 ranks.
Spells: Able to cast at least three different spells with the cold descriptor, one of which must be of 3rd level or higher.
Special: Must have a patron and the ice magic class feature.

In gamer words: you need at least five class levels in a class which fulfill those requirements before you can multiclass into the prestige class.

Frost and Winter are talking about Frost (Shaman Spirit) and Winter (Witch Patron)
You can't be a winter witch without being a shaman or witch.

If you pick the correct patron and fulfill the other requirements, then yes.

On that note, Winter Witch levels count for the purpose of the Elemental Witch's Elemental Ray.

Yeah I was undecided about going that route or the leyline route or the hex witch route. Thanks though. I kind of like the idea of mixing winter witch with necromancy stuff so I will have to mess around and see how it goes.
