A: Arue, Ember, Nenio, Daeran (at first)
B: Woljif, Greybor
C: Lann
D: Sosiel
E: Seelah, Daeran (act 5), Trever, Camellia, Wenduag
Regill is my favorite, his comments and suggestions are always within character and somewhat disturbingly like real life. Several are way too cringe for me, like Arue, Sosiel and Seelah, but you always get those. Nenio has grown on me, even if she has few fans. Ember is cute - and in this version the primary cause for Nocticula's later fate (as in p&p), which is an interesting take on the story. I kinda liked Daeran and I surmised that he wasn't NE himself, but his problem was....I was right on that one, but not happy about the ending of his quest. Greybor and Woljif are your typical dualwielding damage dealers, but nothing outstanding personality wise. Trever is Frankenstein's creature with his perverse build and can warm the bench.
A = Lann,(great guy wrong alignment) Aruahalshale( best waifu but way to whiny)
B = Finnean(funny) Greybor(okeyish)
C = Cam( Just to crazy) Daeron( wrong alignment but fun) Sosiel(creepy stare, sadly quest bugged without Regil)
D = Seelah (just boring) Woljiff(meh) Wenduag(strange "Igor" vibes) Nenio(quest is a chore-.-)
Not rated = Regil(way to much edge)
A= Regill, Woljiff
B=Wenduag, Nenio , Greybor,Aru
C= Camellia, Ember (actually ember might even be a B but i just cant decide where to put her.)
D= Finnian (Sadly wish there was simply more with him.)
F=Seelah, Sosiel (both REALLY boring cliche. And Sosiel tryed to romance me even thought i was mean to him at every oppurtunity wth? )
I skip Lann here since i didnt use him but from what i have seen he doesnt seem to have anything beyond "yeah..he is a nice guy".
I am a little suprised so many like Regill. I mean, yeah, i love him too, but i am always more fond of the Evil characters.so i thought it would just be me.
A: Regill and Woljiff
B: everyone who isnt listed anywhere else
D: Wenduag and Greybor (both incredibly 1 dimensional characters, Greybor in particular can piss off in every future run, Wenduags personal questline was notably good)
Picked Wenduag over Lann and only got Lann at the end of Wenduags Questline. Killed Camellia in the basement. Not much input for either of these.
completely agree with your list, nenio is a D until you understand her character through the personal quest, no idea why I'd ever pick wendu over lann
Regill: Love his character, however his quests didn't feel as impactful as some of the other companions. He didn't change or develop as a character throughout the story, he just decided whether or not you were someone worthy of following. Complete badass though, definitely someone I would want by my side in a war.
Daeran: I actually grew to like him over time, he's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but he readily admits it, and there's quite a good reason (once you learn his backstory) as to how he ended up that way. I found his story one of the most interesting ones among the companions, and he wins the prize as the "guy I thought I would hate, but actually grew to sort of like" by the end.
Woljiff: He's ok, he's just feels so unreliable as a character, even after doing his quests that I wouldn't want to entrust him with anything super important, not when I have Regill around. Still he did add some levity to my group as I was playing an Evil Lich and had a group of evil companions heh.
Camella: Horrible person, but as I was playing an Evil Lich who killed most of the NPC's I encountered, she fit right into my party. Super fun to have in a blatantly evil playthrough, not so much in any kind of good or even neutral one heh.
Wendaug: I probably liked her the least of all the companions, as she really has a crappy personality. Regill is the person she wishes she could be, but she just came off as a toady in relation to the main character, and a bully to anyone weaker than her. Don't know if you can redeemer her as I did the evil routes on all my companions.
Undead Companions: Delamere, Staunton and 2 other secret ones. These have no personalities, they only have dialogue lines when you first get them and they never speak again, even at the camp fire (very boring campfire meetings once I had all 4 of them in my party). Staunton had a little bit of dialogue when it came to dealing with his ex-demon girlfriend, but that was only like 2 or 3 lines. So yea, don't pick undead companions for their personalities/story.
Don't know enough about the others as I deliberately avoided their story quests so I could enjoy them for my 2nd good playthrough.
Ember was pretty much a favorite from the beginning, just so odd, and her thing with a certain queen of the succubi was hilarious.
Loved Woljif's story & personality, he's pretty much locked in a spot in all my future adventures :)
Arushelae was interesting, reliable in combat, great skill-monkey, just all around useful & never a hard choice for a party slot, but at times a little grating, though i suppose she was written to be, since she was figuring stuff out and didn't exactly have a ton of people willing to give a demoness a chance in the middle of a crusade to save the world from "her kind" and help her out(her elation at finally having a dream, especially the v/o, was heart-warming)
Greybor was rough, even had a game-breaking bug from killing him when he tried to assassinate me, but once i gave him a chance, he was a good drinking buddy with a unique perspective on the crusade, a questline packed with twists & betrayals, and he always seemed to give the most solid advice during big crusade decisions(like hiring those assassins that turned the church guard unit from utter trash to teleporting, backstabbing GODS of the battlefield)
Camellia & Daeran are just chaotic enough that i Know they're in my party during my Trickster run. Probably with Wenduag(who also has a ton of late game crusade options i'm curious to see, pity i killed her for her...ahem...dietary choices)
Sosiel...was Sosiel, he's okay, and a FAR superior cleric compared to our Kingmaker options, but he never really did it for me, and I missed out on saving his brother, so maybe he opens up a bit more if you do? *shrugs*
Nenio was a pain at first, but grew on me, as well, her voice actor absolutely nailed the outsider genius vibe, excellent performance, and i enjoyed every interaction with her-once we were out of Kenebras, never failed to make me chuckle. Kinda sad i missed a couple items for her companion quest, looking forward to getting it right next time.
Even Finean, really felt for the poor bastard, even once i'd stopped employing his services due to superior alternatives, he stayed by the commander's side(as a really cool looking quarterstaff that fit on my back perfectly, even with the giant Angel wings), and his post-game bit leaves it wide open to see him again in any future Pathfinder games, where i hope to adventure with him once more, happily welcoming him as an old friend.
Lann, though...literally shot the guy down on 3 occasions where he tried to get into a relationship with my MC, and in chapter 5, when the crusade's at it's most desperate point, when his own people have gone rogue, and the demons could hit Drezen at any moment and burn it down(again), he invites me to a picnic and tries again...but at least he has some badass lines when he's splattering demons from across the battlefield...("Your skills are lacking, YOU are lacking"...cold blooded-that lizard half really shining through)
All-in-all, i enjoyed spending an adventure with this motley crew, looking forward to my next go-round already :)
(no offence to Lann on the relationship thing, just not my cup of tea in games)
A: Woljif, Greybor
B:
C: Arueshalae, Seelah
D: Ember, Sosiel, Lann
Nenio i am not sure yet
Wenduag died on fight probably because i didn't chose her at the beggining for my second run as Satan on Golarion
A: Wenduag, Arueshalae
B: Ember
C: Daeran, Lann
D: Seelah, Greybor, Woljif
F: Nenio, Sosiel
A: Seelah,Daeran
B:Camilia, Greybor, Trever
C: Wenduag, Sosiel
Trash: Ember, Nenio fox girl wizard these people I litteraly was considering killing off
S: Ember and Aivu, could melt steel beams with adorableness.
A: Aruesheshalelalleeshela and Daeren, really warmed up to these guys midgame, and formed the backbone of my party with Regill.
B: Seelah, pally done pretty well, not lawful stupid like they usually are, and Greybor, a pretty cool merc dwarf who I really warmed up to towards the end of the game.
D: Camilla, a weirdo with a decent storyline, good voice acting, and the personality of very villainous cardboard.
F: Woljif, Lann, Sosiel, Wenduag. All boring and worthless, the game would improve if they were cut out and had the time wasted on developing them used on the other companions.
Sewer troll tier: Nenio. Insufferable "quirky" furry that needs to drown in a big puddle of raw sewage. I developed an intense hatred towards this pos from the very get go, and every single moment with her in my party only deepened and strengthened this fury to the extent that I just had her killed repeatedly just to resurrect and rekill her over and over.
Super glad to see so much love for my main man Regill here.
Replace "love" with "hate" and that's exactly how I feel about him, lol. The second you meet him I knew he wasn't going to have any character development and I don't personally think writing a character around an alignment is very interesting.
But I can respect the fact that other people like him. I'm curious though if some people could expand on why they like him? "He's my gnome bro" or whatever doesn't really explain it.
Same could be said about Ember but instead of law, good
