How useful will sunder armour be?
I'm thinking of restarting the game (after some more patches arrive and because I missed a few things early on). I've been playing a rogue/vivisectionist and, while they can dish out a lot of damage when they hit, they have a tendency to not hit high AC enemies. I'm thinking of trying again with a fighter - possibly a two-handed fighter with a focus on vital strike. I also have my eye on the sunder armour feat. I figure that, if it works, I can force an enemies AC to be low enough that more attacks will get though. Is that a viable tactic though? I've already found that, for many demons, spells are near useless as I'd need a natural 20 on the dice roll to get past their spell resistance. So I was wondering if their CMD would be too high for this to be a viable tactic?

Considering how many times the enemy has used sunder armor on me and it's done nothing, and that I have way lower stat bloat the enemies, I'm guessing it's probably going to be terrible. but who knows!

Yeah, no.
While in theory Sunder Armor could work against the bloated AC.....sadly the CMD is bloated aswell (although only via the bloated attributes).

Late game you have to beat a combat modifier of +80...

In general, those enemies where Sunder Armor has a chance to succeed are so weak that you do not need it.

Imo you have 2 ways of building a combat focused character:

1) Build your party to omega-buff physical attacks: For example, Bards, Freebooters, Skalds, Jude Inquisitors, and many other classes can all help your physical attackers hit even against high AC targets. Dont forget to cast all your buffs, they add up very fast!

2) Build a character to target Touch AC or Flat-Foot AC: There are several classes built around delivering touch attacks, do a Google search plenty of optiions there. OR, you can go for Flat-Foot by going for Greater Invisibility type character OR a Shatter Defenses type character.

Or you can be an absolute chad and figure out a way to build a party that does all of these things at the same time :)

Sunder armor isn't great, but I find that fights are easier once you can get Shatter Defenses. It is not the second coming, but I noticed an effect in combat overall.
