Keeping Irabeth alive in Iz
I went to help the queen with the dragon. Firsthting i did. Irabeth and the queen both survived the battle and yet, after I defeated Deskari she is counted as dead. Does someone know why/ how to prevent it?

I have the same problem with the only difference that the queen and Irabeth were going to the temple. It is possible that the death of Irabeth can be prevented only by retaining the title of commander (so that she does not end up in Iz).

But if there is a way to save her in Iz, I would also like to know, because without Irabeth I do not want to continue the game.

It's not necessary to keep the title. I take the demotion graciously before the Act IV. They were both about to enter the library/temple.

In my case It's Ciar who is bugged : He die in Iz (because I save Galfrey/Irabeth first), but still appear in Drezen and he is in the last campment before entering the Threshold.

EDIT : They might go to the Library/Temple because I gave Galfrey the first part of Areelu diary. Maybe they do not fight the Dragon (and risk their lives) because of it.

I believe its due to her hidden confidence counter which really depends on the choice you made regarding her action after lost chapel and stuff relating to it in Act 3.

In my game I have Hulrun protect/warn the camp while I go to the library to help the queen and Irabeth only to have Irabeth die once Deskari is downed. not sure if bug or how it is supposed to go but it feels off.
If you give lexicon of paradox to queen it guarantees both her and irabeth live and you dont have to pick between queen and knowledge.

Did just that but Irabeth died anyway, maybe having Hulrun warn the camp changed the outcome or some secret behind the scenes confidence counter though I had done a lot of work to get her confidence back, even got a scene with her thanking me for it. gonna try not warning Hulrun just to see what happens, maybe I will get lucky and he will die instead, win win.

He hasn't survive a single playthrough of mine, esp after what i learned he did to my companion and has no remorse.

For my playthrough (lost title before going into the abyss and didn't give up the lexicon) I was able to hit up the library to get the glass key without triggering the scene in the actual library and then going over to warn the queen and Irobeth, saving them both, telling Hurun also ensured the banner was intact although they did take heavy losses to protect it. Going back to the library for the gem after the queen and then going to the banner seem to ensure I got the best of all worlds in this scenario. (Sadly he didn't die protecting it)

From what I'm told, keeping the title should ensure Irobeth isn't in Iz, and giving the queen the lexicon means she goes to the library instead of trying to fight the undead dragon, tho I can't confirm that. I just had to make the best of the worst possible scenario if so.

Make sure she really likes you before Iz, and she'll never leave Drezen. problem solved.

I think you have to convince the queen to keep your title before act 4 for her to stay.

In my playthrough, Irabeth kept her title and was there with the queen. I "rescued" them both. (joined up with them to fight some guy)
After killing Deskari, it was the Queen that died though, and then Irabeth became all sad and mopey again.

Went back to the flag were Hulrun and all were waiting but no event. They died after killing Deskari.

Things I did that may have affected the outcome:
1) Showed disrespect to the moron we call a Queen at Iz
2) Rescued angels at Pulruns fall.
3) Broke wardstone
4) Legend Mythic
5) Warned Hulrun about the attack.
6) Failed "protect allies" in Act 3 underground once (I think I bugged cos i went there ASAP and there were no monsters)
7) Did not keep Commander title.

gave it another go.
I had a success for my particular situation, this time I didn't tell Hulrun that it was all a trap so he left the area (and consequently survived), the camp was destroyed along with Ciar and the banner. However Irabeth, the queen, and all the stuff in the library survived. and best of all as a trickster I was able to replace the banner with my sock, full functionality and it looks amazing. So if you gave the queen the lexicon, Irabeth is her guard, and Hulrun is there, and you are a trickster just let the camp die, Ciar is not worth loosing Irabeth and banners can be replaced, sometimes if your character is into that sort of thing

Would this change if i killed hulrun?
