Known bug. Fix announced for today (1.0.5).
I personally suggest Nelartux advice to adjust the save file in the most possible safe way. Only changing the relevant affected stats. On Nexusmod there is a save game editor I just used for that.
Reason: if you beaten already enemy armies there might be no official fix to get you the exp you missed. But putting the run on hold for a few hours might be the safest way to do so...
I have been checking Toybox for that, but could not find any relevant option to change the values of the crusade. Could you give me a hint about where to look for it or what I have might missed?
You can begin the rank up event ( meeting in the citadel) . There was a post on reddit suggesting it in detail and it was said to help a lot of people.
The only variable " missing " is that " trigger" . If you have enough exp and the rank up is not happening it is fairly simple
Ofc that only applies for rank ups until rank 5.
Yes give me a sec to find the reddit post . I will edit this reply when I find it

That said if they said they will fix it today it is not worth the risk
Thank you for your efforts. I was confused for a moment here, since I thought it is easy to find in ToyBox. But I too did the savegame edit instead of using ToyBox for that specific bug.
I do not think it (changing the values) will break anything, since it is a simple independant value.
Yes, and no. The issue I see are the values you are supposed to get early on in the game by beating enemy armies. If you go to the act where the crusade "is put on hold" because you are in a different dimension, without the fix, you cannot regain the values you are supposed to gain before that act. Making it impossible to reach high stats by normal means.
Or with a simple analogy: if you do not get exp for beating 100 enemies because the fix is missing, you will later on notice you missed the exp for beating 100 enemies because of the bug. The game might be still doable, but you might not reach rank x or y because of the issue.
True but dev posted above and said it will be fixed in a few hours so I would still advise to wait for that just in case to be honest.
