Gwerm's Mansion Bug?
Anyone managed to clear the mansion but can't signal him from the window? Seems like this quest is now impossible to complete for me.

Haven't seen that one. Have you tried loading an earlier save from before you went there? Is it possible you missed a room?

I have gone through the building a few times. Am I supposed to get into the basement or through the other door on the first floor? I didn't get through those... I did try restarting the game to no avail sadly.

Sometimes you don't clear a silly small room close to the kitchen and this happens

I've done that like 8 times now and have yet to encounter a bug. Normally when that happens to me I forget there is one door right next to the stairs with a random dude in the back. You 100% positive you checked every corner?

There is also an invisible enemy, but that enemy should attack you, pop a see invis scroll just in case.

Ah, behind the stairs or near the kitchen, Ill go back and check there. And yes the Babau was the first "WTF" moment of the game for me. I'm only on Daring difficulty and it took me a few tries to get him. Ended up just pitting him till the end of the fight lol.

Haha yeah the Babau slaughtered my backline. I quickly went from Hard back down a notch after that.

So far after getting to lvl 4 and getting an oracle in the party things have gotten much easier, but I haven't even tackled the fort yet :| Oh Boy!

I am currently having this same issue. I reloaded several times. I restarted from the beginning, and have reloaded from the autosave from before I started the mission in the mansion. Has Owlcat fixed any of your guys' bugs, or did you guys just end up reloading far earlier?
Tolfdir Oct 7, 2022 @ 5:54pm
It happened to me once, a few patches ago. I reloaded a save from before reaching the mansion and redid the mission. It worked.

Have tried reloading earlier saves before entering the mansion, still not working.
Oleaceae Oct 7, 2022 @ 11:13pm
i'm not sure if reloading before entering the mansion works for everyone but i got this bug, ended up restarting with a new character, turned difficulty to story mode, speed ran to the mansion, and it was fixed.

Known problem, should be fixed soon. For those impatient, players discovered a workaround: https://www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker/comments/xxnt53/gwerm_family_secret_bug/

Copied from the reddit thread; (this worked for me too!)

To do this you'd probably want Notepad++ and a json formatter plugin. Also, as with all such things, before you mess with a save file you should be saving backups when you start.

On my machine, there's a file in my save called f85782027ff739043b35216be2ccf71bHorgusManorQ0_Mechanics.json. There's a part type called Kingmaker.View.MapObjects.InteractionSkillCheckPart - this seems to be the hand icon.

The object on my machine has unique id of 316b5ab1-009c-4fc8-bc82-315019004a5f - I don't know if these vary from machine to machine. If not, there is only one InteractionSkillCheckPart in that file, so the correct location is easy to find.

You can set the property "m_IsInGame" for that object (a few lines up) from false to true, and it will allow you to summon Horgus and finish the quest.
