I have gone through the building a few times. Am I supposed to get into the basement or through the other door on the first floor? I didn't get through those... I did try restarting the game to no avail sadly.
There is also an invisible enemy, but that enemy should attack you, pop a see invis scroll just in case.
Ah, behind the stairs or near the kitchen, Ill go back and check there. And yes the Babau was the first "WTF" moment of the game for me. I'm only on Daring difficulty and it took me a few tries to get him. Ended up just pitting him till the end of the fight lol.
So far after getting to lvl 4 and getting an oracle in the party things have gotten much easier, but I haven't even tackled the fort yet :| Oh Boy!

To do this you'd probably want Notepad++ and a json formatter plugin. Also, as with all such things, before you mess with a save file you should be saving backups when you start.
On my machine, there's a file in my save called f85782027ff739043b35216be2ccf71bHorgusManorQ0_Mechanics.json. There's a part type called Kingmaker.View.MapObjects.InteractionSkillCheckPart - this seems to be the hand icon.
The object on my machine has unique id of 316b5ab1-009c-4fc8-bc82-315019004a5f - I don't know if these vary from machine to machine. If not, there is only one InteractionSkillCheckPart in that file, so the correct location is easy to find.
You can set the property "m_IsInGame" for that object (a few lines up) from false to true, and it will allow you to summon Horgus and finish the quest.
