Not so much, in fact improved unarmed strike overrides claws so once you get it you lose your claws.

You can monk flurry with druid claws, so I imagine some of them work. Not sure on the specifics though, haven't progressed far on that particular druid.

By default, no. Although in the tabletop game, there is a feat that allows characters to use natural weapons with unarmed feats.

Pathfinder flurry explicitly states that natural attacks can't be used as part of a flurry or in addition. However, re-reading it... a monk could still get his base attacks and then all of his natural weapons because the "you can attack with anything" statement comes in under the unarmed strike section, not flurrying. So you'd get your one attack with iteratives plus all your naturals at -5 (even if they'd be primary they always get downgraded if you make a base normal attack).

Sadly, no. But it works with bite tho. Also some items/feats had description "unarmed strike and natural weapons". These ones should stack with claws.

Hmm the UI shows claws and the extra attack from flurry for me.

I was testing with Feral Champion claws, these seem to disappear once you get improved unarmed strike. If this wasn't the case it might be possible with Sohei and 5 levels of fighter to get weapon training with natural weapons, which then Sohei is supposed to be able to use any weapon they have training in with their monk abilities. The part I haven't been able to work out though is how to make claws from Feral Champion come back after you get Improved Unarmed Strike from Sohei.

Maybe it's an order thing, I started as a monk and then went to Elemental Rampager. It seems like it's not supposed to work at least by default.

Edit: I should point out I could see my weapon focus: Claws bonus on hit rolls. So it's not just a visual issue.

It was an order thing. So you have to be careful and make sure you have Improved Unarmed Strike BEFORE you get your claws. The last one you get will override the other. I was able to use flurry with claws. This seems a bit shaky and I wonder if in the future I'll somehow lose claws.

Verified it also works with Ki powers like extra attack.
Bishi Sep 15, 2021 @ 4:27pm
I wonder if you can go the pummeling strike route with them? Seems like things are working in an unintended way though. I don't have much experience with natural weapons, but maybe a PNP expert can clarify.
phadin Sep 15, 2021 @ 4:32pm
PNP, unarmed attacks and natural attacks are considered different types of attacks. Feats that are used with unarmed attacks, such as Stunning Fist, do not function with natural weapons like claws in most circumstances. There is a specific feat that allows other feats in the Improved Unarmed Strike feat chain to work with natural weapon attacks.

No such equivilent feat exists in this game, however, so unarmed attack features should not be compatable with claws or other natural weapon attacks.

Sohei is able to use monk abilities with any weapon they gain training in.

Thats for a weapon training 'group' they can get weapon training in. Natural Weapons are not a weapon training group they can get, at least on tabletop. The list is limited to bows, crossbows, monk weapons, polearms, spears, or thrown weapons.

You can get weapon training natural with 5 levels of fighter.
